I honestly don't care about international play. Maybe it's different in England, but I could care less. I like watching the USMNT pkay, but only as a distraction to get me back to our boys

Playing against Gibraltar would almost qualify as a rest for someone of Virgil's quality, although I agree that sitting on the bench would be our preferred option.
What's he going to do if he plays? Some jogging, a couple of sprints maybe? It's not going to affect his ability to play against City.
Obviously, there is a very slim chance of a freak injury but that could happen during any training session.
