I'd say, keeping clean sheets again is no.1 priority.

They always say success is built on defence, as proved in the past.

Absolutely bang on, it’s horrible watching us be so vulnerable at the moment, constantly chasing games.

I wouldn’t mind a period of looking really solid, with some nice 1-0 wins to go with it.

Been weird watching the "He's bald" and "Arne ten Slot" tweets.
It's only showing the posters up themselves as narrow minded.

Alonso and Amorin being the only two possible managers good enough to take over apparently.
And that's probably because they both play what is deemed to be the most modern football.
      A back 3...
Like it hasn't been done in Italy for decades and by Klopp and Pep.

Even looking up Slot since the rumours, he's been said to be a 4-2-3-1 manager
but the way his team plays is way more fluid than that, with inverted wingbacks and
wingers that seem to operate more like Klopp wide forwards.

He will need time no matter how good he is.

I’m not saying it’s an ok way of thinking but when you see another manager from the Netherlands with a big reputation come and flop at one of the two biggest clubs in the country it might be understandable that people aren’t exactly excited by our new manager.

I was a huge fan of getting Edwards back at the club so il back his manager choice but I can see why some might not be too enthused by our choice of manager.

It’s pretty poor when their whole basis for being critical of the appointment is

He is Dutch and the last manager from there was poor

If anything Slot proved himself before at AZ when he would have beaten Ten Haags Ajax team if it wasn’t for Covid

There is no reason to suggest a Dutch coach will fail in the Premier League. Bald or not. There's zero reason to suggest a manager from County Durham will fail, or a manager from Dalmarnock, Glasgow, will fail. It's all to do with their ideas and their execution.

If it helps, imagine his name is Arneluca Slotelotti or something.

At least wait until the guy's photographed under an LFC scarf before writing him off.

So players that we got when weren’t an established CL club and a world away from where we are nowb

Have all these players signed since Klopp has been at the club confirmed to you, either in conversation or a written document that the manager was a "massive draw"to join ?...Thought not...Football players go to Clubs because A. They are massive Clubs...B. They get to play with elite players, and therefore their chances of success are increased.... and C. Loads and loads of money. I can't imagine even one player would go to any club because of who manages the team.

I think who the managers can have a small part to play in some instances mate but on the whole agree with your point.

Players come to us for two main reasons at the moment.

It's Liverpool and we're regularly challenging for honours and the amount of money they'll get paid each week

Yep...After the other criteria has been met, the manager's profile might influence a player....what 5% at the most?

whatever the critics and negs say, the decision has apparently been made. Slot will be our manager from the end of this season.
FFS, get off his back already, lets see how he and the team do, with whatever players decide to stay, and any he may bring in.
If we are in the bottom 3-5 after 10 games, by all means criticise, but let the fella at least get here first !

The strikers missing some chances wouldn't matter so much if we kept clean sheets.

Whole team has failed over past month especially.
