Hmmm got to question the pull of the club at the precise moment. I think a few managers don't want to step into Jurgens shoes right away and are backing out.

Whoever takes over I think we'll see a dip off.

Don't think Slot would have been choice 1 or 2.

So Joyce and now also Pearce are both saying he's a candidate, with Joyce saying Liverpool are interested but a deal isn't done yet. Would not surprise me to see this announced within the next day or so.

Would also not surprise me if he's not announced and we go in a different direction ;D

Think Xabi would have been first choice then after that prob not much difference

Will show a managers self belief to take the job on after Klopp

Gone from Alonso - Amorim - junior Ten Hag!

A manager who works under the transfers of the club. Presses high and plays high intensity football

      Seems about the right fit

Hopefully the club can also sort the balance out of our squad too

Certainly intrigues, but I'd not heard much about him before now.

Apparently his preferred formation is a 4-2-3-1, utilizing a double pivot. He likes to press high, regain the ball and utilize fullbacks pushing up to help in attack. Sounds very similar to Klopp's preferred style of play in a lot of ways.

Honestly, his report card is very similar to Alonso's so far as his experience managing, but obviously a little weaker league and he was never the player that Xabi was.

Xabi was always my number one pick...after him it's not that I don't care, but I don't feel too strongly about anyone else.

At least this has squashed the Mourinho chatter ;D

Don't think Slot would have been choice 1 or 2.

First Alonso, and if we wanted the Portuguese we would have him so Slot is the second choice.

I know nothing about his record or style but he won the league last year so why not? I would give anyone a chance.

He won last year and apparently this year they are on the same points but PSV are running away with it only having lost one game all season.

Ten Hag had a better record compared to this guy. Ten Hag took Ajax to a UCL semi final and look how that turned out for United.

      And 🤷‍♂️

Ten Hag resources at Ajax will be massively different to what Slot had

Ajax are expected to win more often than not

Ajax at the time had a squad full of massively talented players

It’s clear you aren’t able to judge someone in isolation

He could be exactly who the club needs to ensuring continuity with the way the club is developing
It’s not always about what someone won before hand
