That is the real fan spirit. Most fans today cannot grasp it because they are not fans but mere followers. There are boundaries like would you accept TheSun as sponsor if it would enable us to go toe-to-toe with City? No I‘d rather get relegated.

I also do not know why Stevie G is out of the picture. He won in Scotland, he has experience as a PL coach, sure he did not have a cinderella story like Xabi but I never got hard facts on why he‘s not able to coach Liverpool. Just wishy-washy that comes down to: he doesnt APPEAR to be a successful coach at Liverpool.

And do not get me started on Rafa, that is even more insane….

No loyality anymore anywhere … just icecold reasoning who is best for xyz. Sad.

      Like I said, weird,

Know shag all about this Slot guy, but of course he wants the job, very few managers available would refuse, all of them worth their salt would want to be moving up to bigger club.
But it's one thing playing entertaining football and overachieving at a small club in a lower standard league, and another completely managing a top club in a top league where the 'expectation' is to win most of your games.
People might not fancy Tuchel for example, but he has won with big teams in big leagues. He's done things at a level Slot has not.
Not saying we should go with a Maureen or a Rafa just cause they have experience - I wouldn't consider those guys - but if I had to pick between Slot and Tuchel, would go Tuchel.
Would wonder too if behind the scenes this could be seen as a punt, if it works great, if it doesn't, we go back in for Alonso next summer.
Don't want to be negative, but the only managers I'd like to come in are Alonso [who is also a bit of a punt, but nowhere near the punt Slot is]  or Ancelotti, but he's not available.
Anyway, Jürgen's still in the seat, so haven't really been thinking about it to be honest. Maybe just don't really want to.

I actually suspect itll be an out of nowhere didnt see that coming appointment....so easy for the press to say Alonso, Amorim etc,

Suspected a surprise but never would have thought it would be a relatively unknown to me

      Best of luck to him

I've been down the Tuchel route but the general consensus is 'he's not a good man manager'. Not necessarily my view but can't be discussed as all you get is he..'stirs up trouble'..etc..academic now as Arnie is the chosen one.

Apparently Southgate taking charge after we lose FA Cup. That will make you just as happy.

It's a big risk, can't pretend otherwise, but again we can't prejudge. Back him and wish him best of luck.

Everyone at the club got to give the guy 18 months to 2 seasons I'd say.

I hope FSG back him in the market.

I think his role will be more as a head coach. Hughes will be signing the players.

      Get Southgate and you're dooomed..I tell ye...dooomed..

Southgate stands before the players with a wipeboard and starts muttering all weird permutations and nobody can hear or understand WTF he is on about..
