Danns is such an exciting talent. Even putting the goals to one side, his positioning seems to be top notch and his link up play is already very smooth.

      One to watch.

Harvey isn't even 21 yet himself.
Yup, very easy to forget considering it feels like he's been with the team for a while now, but he came in very young and never left on loan. Will be a great player.

Well first half we got out of gaol.
Thought we’d overdone the kids inclusion.
      Second half, totally dominant.
Three good goals. First closing out the first half, settled us down for the second half.
After seeing Danns for the first time v chavs, I thought he’d make an impact if he could get on. Natural no doubt !
Bit pissed off with his second goal. Up till then I was on for a perfect 😂

      Yep.

When a young forward comes in and shows the intelligence in terms of positioning etc it's really exciting.

Quansah is a bit ridiculous. If he was like, I don't know, a £40m new signing, I'd be saying that it is looking like money well spent. He just looks ready.

He looks really composed.  Agree - if he was a signing from some club nobody would bat an eyelid at that kind of price.  Could quite easily become a regular starter.

Anfield debut and scores two goals. Not even Roy of the Rovers can match that. Well played Jayden. My boy of the match (just kidding about the boy bit).

Was going to give MOTM to Elliott, but having just seen Jayden Danns talking to ITV - he can have it!

      This

Made me quite emotional, really happy for a young lad living the dream.

As others have said first 15/20 minutes we looked undercooked all over the pitch, not surprising baring the team. They had gilt edged chances that they should have put away...fair play to Kelleher another outstanding performance. We grew into it and deserved to go through. Enormous credit to those youngsters....unreal.

Danns was quality. Deft finishing, sharp anticipation, great touch and positioning. Sounded like a really good lad in that interview, humble, grateful, made up he performed well in front of his family.

Struggled for MOM, Kelleher, once again fantastic, but Danns to score 2 at Anfield, especially being a lifelong supporter and being at the club from a youngster, had to give it to him!

Presumably that’s not right that we play Sparta Prague on the 14th then United on the 16th?

The new kids on the block have done it again !!

So so proud of the boys again tonight to put in another shift like that, Jürgen must be absolutely thrilled with the way the youngsters have performed cos it's not easy under the lights at Anfield but they seemed to show no nerves at all, amazing for ones so young.

Massive shot of confidence for them, Jayden and Lewis won't sleep tonight  :)

Absolutely made up, bring on the scummy mancs

I think the FA cup game will be moved to Sunday or, more likely, Monday evening at 8pm. None of the other teams left in FA cup are playing Thursday European games.

More comfortable than I thought in the end. Gave MOTM  to Kelleher for bailing us out a few times in the first half. Danns looks a bit of a natural finisher.

No injuries! Liked the way Jürgen gave Virg n Konate a half each. Endo rested, hopefully be fine for the Forest game. Mac only played half an hour, should be fine. Harvey has some engine, playing nearly the whole game after the same on Sunday, might need a break on Saturday though. Hopefully Darwin, Dom or Mo are back for Saturday or we'll be playin a kid or 2 again. Love it in the cups but not so much in the league. Hopefully we can get guys starting to come back now for a big month ahead.
