So good. I was there for Gerrard v Olympiakos and could see it going in before the net bulged. Very similar technique. Superb. Players who make that kind of decisive impact under pressure are priceless. Macca really starting to go to the next level.

Phew, great result (in the end). A most precious three points in the bag, but boy oh boy, that's hard work. Well done Reds....

And lads/lassies, please stop quoting/answering to that annoying Fibonacci sequence bot that's plaguing most of the threads...

Well we made a dogs dinner of that , glad we got the win.

Mac, Endo and Elliott to start on Sunday in midfield. That’s what I would like to see - Jones has just come back and Dom blows hot and cold.

Feck me this is gonna be a horrible run in. We play Thursday Sunday pretty much every week so it means the pressure is on every weekend. We have to tighten up at the back, we can’t buy a clean sheet at the moment. But man do we love a late goal! There’s no panic, just relentless attacking and confidence that they’ll get the goal eventually.

Someone is due a battering though, the lads miss so many chances. Let’s hope it’s the mancs on Sunday.

I will concede that Cody can be a bit hit and miss although I've never had a pop, other than to say he looked a bit tame when he first arrived. But he can play across the line. Play in the hole, so very versatile. Plus he's in and out so that has to be considered.

Strong on the ball and can get up a head of steam. Chance wise he gets in good positions.Yes sometimes makes a mess of it but instinct wise he's a quality finisher.

Expectations have to managed, so judge him on what he can do rather than expecting him to do it every time.

Mac again MOTM, what a signing.
      Changes made a big difference.
      Finished strong.
Might need few changes to starting 11 for Utd. And need to be tighter from the start.

But we showed character again tonight and got the win that was deserved on the night :)

So Jones and Robertson back in to the fold now and then Trent, Jota and Bajcetic back in training from next week. Vital to get players like that back at this stage of the season.

Chelsea just made it 4-3 through a penalty. 100 minute game for them so it's game on.....103 mins..haha..

Massive. I think with Curtis back in the fold it will be hard to see Grav getting a start again this season. Jota is as deadly as anyone in the league on his day and I'm sure would've put away a lot of the chances we've missed. He will also give us better game management too. Experience, depth, quality. This is one reason for serious optimism despite the difficulties in getting through certain fixtures (tonight included).

Never seen a more dominant MOTM poll. Even Robbo's vote was intended for Mac 😂

Good to see a close MOTM poll for a change.

Jokes aside, not the best performance.....think we really missed Endo tonight, we seemed to lack cohesion and solidarity for the majority of the game.

Subs changed everything when they came on. All contributed a great deal.

Just back from watching the game.

Not a great peformance. Just so passive. Too many touches. Too many slow bobbly passes. No intensity and purpose in our play.

Darwin frustrated me. So many sloppy touches. Elliott did well when he came on. Robbo was superb and if he doesnt start on sunday il be f*cking annoyed.

But 3 points is all that matters. Onto sunday and after what happened tonight they will die for that cause. Play as we did tonight and we will get f*ck all. Big improvement needed.

1 down. 8 more wins needed.

Outstanding from MacAllister. Not really a playmaker in the Gerrard mold. Not a holding player either.More of an old fashioned 'schemer' bit like Jimmy Melia back in the day.

Probing, little nudge here, little through ball, hovering, always trying to pick the lock. We've had problems with packed defenses but now we have a world class locksmith.

Very cool and dispassionate as well. Jota will benefit when he gets fit. Great signing. Pep is furious I believe...

Positives, in our own hands, Klopp identifying the players he needed to take off and one player who is full of confidence Mac.

      Negative, Szob's form.

      8 cup finals.

He's very lucky he didn't suffer anything serious there and then, I feared the worst when I saw the replay. A shocking tackle.

Some positives besides the plain 3 pts. to calm down the crybabies here:

-ManU lost - and in another disastrous way - has virtually no chance anymore to make a CL spot. That could benefit us, they may implode.
-Jones is a real deal, came back after forever and looked as if he was never gone.
      -Robbo looked not bad either.
-TAA and Jota should be close, so we will have them for ~6 games remaining, giving us some depth even City might be jealous of.

It will be hard at Old Trafford - and yes I think we will bottle it - it will be their CL final of the season to deny us #20 but this is where the team can prove doubters like me wrong. I hope they do.
