The season is done.

Overachieved for the first half of the season and underachieved for the second half.  Not been many outstanding performances in the past 3 months.

It's all very good winning the most points from losing positions, but really good teams don't find themselves in losing positions.  It's exhausting having to do that every other week.

Couple of players from our 2019-20 team are on the slide big time now and some of the youngsters who find themselves in the team shouldn't be in the XI.

Hope the new manager gets the time and funds to bring in the right calibre of replacements.

Nunez is a damn good player but not for what we play. We play like City - just not as systematic - while a guy like Nunez needs a team like Atletico who stay back and wait for counter attacks to give him room to run and cause havoc.

We'll end up 3rd, about 8 or 9 points off the top which is probably where we deserve to finish.

Manner of it just makes it hurt a bit more than it should. If a Spurs/Villa put the final nail in the coffin then fair enough but that sort of performance with those missed chances at home to Palace is a horrible way to go out. Similarly, anything can happen in Europe (like the way we went out to Atletico in 2020) but the way we played on Thursday at home made it so much worse.

Why would there be belief after the last 3 performances? We are fans so their will be support but belief needs to be earned and right now the team isn't earning our belief, because it looks like they don't believe in themselves right now.

There are many weeks to go so the seasons isn't over you are correct. We have to play it out to its conclusion for the sake of the rest of the league so everyone's played each other.

But our seasons objectives are over and it won't make you less of a fan just less of a c**t for thinking it.

So the season ends a trophy in the bag. A probable top 3 finish but a definite return to CL football.

Ultimately we progressed on last season. But a title winning team this ain't. On paper, on the pitch and on the table. It's finished.

Let’s be honest, we’ve rid our luck all season… sadly for us we ran out of it at a cruel time in the season.
