      Pre-Match Plymouth v Liverpool FA Cup 4th Round Sun 9th Feb 15:00
      Feb 06, 2025 10:58:14 pm
Expecting a PSV-like side out here with the majority of the team who started against Spurs left out of the squad entirely and a bench full of youngsters. We have Everton away 3 days after this in what is a massive game for us. I expect Bradley, Macca and Diaz to all come off at HT or at 60. Jota for Nunez on 60 too and keep Jones ticking over with 20 minutes on for Elliott.

Plymouth sit rock bottom of the Championship and a massive shock aside, I expect us to progress here.

      Kelleher

      Bradley (Mabaya)
      Gomez (c)
      Quansah
      Tsimikas

      Endo
      Mac Allister (McConnell)

      Chiesa
      Elliott (Jones)
      Diaz (Nyoni)

      Nunez (Jota)

      Subs:

      Jaros (GK)
      Mabaya
      Nallo
      Norris
      Jones
      McConnell
      Nyoni
      Morton
      Jota

0-2 to us, get the job done and get ready for the Derby!

Want us to win this as much as I did tonight as I see this game as much more than a one off trip to Plymouth in the 4th round of a domestic cup.......for me it's about the final destination, after missing out on the quad twice prior.......I have a good feeling with the way the season is going, it could be third time a charm baby.

So changes for sure but strong enough to go through without any funny business.

Kelleher; Gomez, Endo, Quansah, Tsimikas; McConnell, Mac Allister, Elliott; Chiesa, Jota, Diaz.

If Trent is going to be 100% for Wednesday then I can see Bradley start with Gomez moving across and Endo in midfield for Mac.

There's no truth to the rumour that Plymouth, after seeing the Spurs game, have applied to the FA for a 2 goal lead.

Leave Mo, Gravenberch and Virgil in Liverpool.

A balance of 1st team and squad players. I'd probably start Chiesa, Elliot, McConnell Tsimikas and Endo (Endo at CB).

My main concern about this game. What idiots scheduled this at the same time as Scotland v Ireland rugby game. Clearly still some celt hating English cu*ts in TV world   ;D.

Although we have 5 tough PR games in Feb. I don't think Slot will start too many young players. Said yesterday constant games makes players " stronger". Also said FA cup is a higher priority than League cup. Aware also of the 'banana slip' theory, so it will be an experienced team. Called it close to 100% so far.

      Ali...Brad..Quanny...VVD ..Timmy....Jones..Elliot t..Endo..Chiesa..Jota..D iaz

Mo, Nunez and Cody ready on bench if needed.

Not a chance! No need to risk them. If you are worried, at least on the bench.

Think it would be silly to rush Gomez straight back in, would rather see him maybe get 45 or 30 mins from the bench

Will be a really tough one this. They will play with freedom as they won’t be thinking of relegation and we will put out a fringe team.

All the ingredients for an upset but hopefully we can escape unscathed.

Think we will play a team more than capable of beating these easily.

I'm on my way down to Plymouth now, i'm expecting our 2nd best 11 available with a few young lads thrown in.

It would be good for Chiesa to get 90 mins if he can handle it.

Really don't know why Chiesa doesn't get more game time, he seems well keen for it and his performances when he's been brought on are excellent.

Obviously they've got nothing to lose and will be fairly agricultural. Lot of heading to do for our defence. Avoid injuries, don't mess about, play an experienced team, don't want to drag it out. Clinical.

      0-3.
