Firstly a big thank you to everyone who took the time to vote in these awards that were in
The Arkles board.
We've had a great year on the forum - I know that a lot of people have become friends through the site and we have had some ticket exchanges - members have donated some prizes to others and we have helped raise (to date) over £300 for a local children's hospice.
We've had a couple of 'incidents'. I'm sure some of you will remember 'the day that never was' - the time when I was performing a regular back up of the website and deleted an entire day's posts. :
Oh how we laughed.
Thanks to all the magnificent posts from new and old users alike - it's been a pleasure reading all your bitching, moaning and celebrating throughout the year. Next year will be even better.

Top Mod/AdminAs I finished runner-up this should probably go to a stewards enquiry! Congratulations to
EddieC who takes the title with around 28% of the vote. Impressive all the more as he accesses the forum mostly from his phone and is therefore unable to perform any 'moderation'. Well done. I'd like to thank all the moderators on the forum - not only for dealing with stuff that I would have had to do but for starting up competitions and even sending things to the other side of the world for forum users. Take a bow!
Best New Member 2007A number of candidates for this award but the winner was
MsGerrard. Amusing, knows her football, supportive of campaigns on the forum and apparently has got a big rack. What more could you want in a woman? Congrats!
Topic of the year 2007The
Don't Buy the Sun thread is the winner. A very deserving winner and it has certainly provided an education to many Liverpool fans. Avoiding purchasing that particular rag is a central theme of the religion of supporting Liverpool and anybody who reads that thread will be left in no doubt as to why.
Best Off Topic Poster 2007There was tie in this category, but I'm sure Eddie won't mind the title going to
RED1028. Does anybody spend as much time on creating a post as this guy? Works of art - each and everyone. Despite living one of the busiest lives I have ever known - running here there and everywhere - he always posts unique items on the board and is an inspiration to all of us couch potatoes. Top bloke!
Best Football Poster 2007Surprisingly, this one has gone to me - edging out EddieC by one vote. I'm not sure I am too deserving of this award - I just tell it how I see it to be fair. I'm sure I have given some stick to players who have then turned out to be legends and I certainly do not have the football knowledge that some of the anoraks on here do have. I enjoy reading the football posts from the likes of Crazy Horse, Bootle Buck, Eddie, RedKenny, Tommo, don, Glenbuck, and all the rest of you who often make posts that make me nod in agreement.
Funniest Poster 2007Close run thing but
Glenbuck edges it. Always enjoy reading the guys posts, as most of you clearly do too, and he can often be found berating the negative posters and making us all feel much better. Well done.
