I wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting to my friends and family, but
it is so difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without
offending someone. So I met with my legal advisor yesterday, and on his
advice I wish to say the following,

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an
environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive,
gender neutral celebration of the holiday, practiced with the most enjoyable
traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with
respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others,
or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically
uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar
year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other
cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great
and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability,
religious faith or sexual preference of the wisher.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely
transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no
promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for
her/himself or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable
at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as
expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one
year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes
first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a
new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Disclaimer: No trees were harmed in the sending of this message; however, a
significant number of electrons were slightly inconvenienced.

      Guys it's officially Christmas because:

I've bought all my presents for my family in Liverpool and North Wales!
I've bought lots of presents for Rachelle and her family (including the cat!) down here in London.
My car is valeted, fueled and packed up, ready to roll!
I'm about to have a Christmas dinner with my house mates before my trip home to Liverpool tonight!
I will visit the health club for a quick steam, sauna and jacuzzi before I leave!
I will visit Rachelle and her family for our own mini Christmas tonight!

Then the small matter of a 250 mile trip home to my Dad's in Liverpool, arriving early hours of tomorrow I guess!
On Boxing day my Dad and I drive over to North Wales to join my Sister, her 3 kids and my Mum before we go out for Christmas dinner together!
I return South on New Year's Eve ready for the "Toughest 10K in the country" on New Year's Day at 11am on Box Hill in Surrey!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank JD and all the Moderators and indeed all the forum members who have contributed to making LFCREDS.COM the most excellent football forum on the Internet!
It is great to share in good and bad times with fellow Reds and I look forward to joining you all again in the New Year for more of the same and perhaps a trophy and title or two to celebrate as well!

      :) :) Very Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas and :) :)
:) :) a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year!

      Recipe for Tequila Christmas cake

      Ingredients:

      1 cup of water
      1 tsp baking soda
      1 cup of sugar
      1 tsp salt
      1 cup of brown sugar
      Lemon juice
      4 large eggs
      Nuts
      1 bottle tequila
      2 cups of dried fruit

Sample the tequila to check quality.. Take a large bowl, check the tequila
again. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and
      drink. Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a
large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point
it's best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try another cup... just in
case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and
chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Pick the fruit up off floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried
druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the lequita to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something.
      Check the tequila.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through
the window. Finish the tequila and wipe counter with the cat.

      CHERRY MISTMAS!

druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the lequita to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something.
      Check the tequila.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through
the window. Finish the tequila and wipe counter with the cat.

      CHERRY MISTMAS!

      Recipe for Tequila Christmas cake

      Ingredients:

      1 cup of water
      1 tsp baking soda
      1 cup of sugar
      1 tsp salt
      1 cup of brown sugar
      Lemon juice
      4 large eggs
      Nuts
      1 bottle tequila
      2 cups of dried fruit

Sample the tequila to check quality.. Take a large bowl, check the tequila
again. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and
      drink. Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a
large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point
it's best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try another cup... just in
case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and
chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Pick the fruit up off floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried
druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the lequita to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something.
      Check the tequila.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through
the window. Finish the tequila and wipe counter with the cat.

      CHERRY MISTMAS!

Yup, its 12:55am Boxing day here, am putting in some practice on the boys new Playstation games, going to kick some butt later today...

Hoping everyone had a very RED Xmas (or Christmas for you purists)

Boxing day here in Oz is the day for sitting back, relaxing after yesterdays formal routine, picking at the leftovers, drinking beer and watching whichever touring cricket teams turn it is to get flogged at the MCG (90 thousand at the ground), its India's turn this year.
A nap in the afternoon, a few more beers, another nap during the evening movie before getting ready for the game V's Derby...
(and maybe a few more beers)...

Not greedy at all. We haven't been 'fed' for many years so I hope we can all be indulgent come May and have the best present.  ;)

I'd like to know if anyone out there like KoolKidda recieved a biography of a LFC player, and if so could you please give some feedback, because I'm tied, I'm not sure which one to buy. I got a little book of LFC which has many quotes down the years of players titled, "The Little Book Of Liverpool" it is good little book if you don't feel like a huge read.

Hope everyone had a good one! :)

I got the Transfomers Special Edition dvd, new pyjama kecks (dead baggy, they're great!), some little footy thing off me nephew, the Richard Hammond book, Stephen Fry's autobiography, and vouchers for the Liverpool shop! (Cheers MsGerrard! ;)) Otherwise I got money, and drunk! :P

Well folks I am completely P!$$ed off, why? well as some of you may or may not know I was working yesterday and this morning and was gonna spend some quality time with the little lady this afternoon, and open our pressies, but the person who was taking over from me has 'phoned in "Sick" vomiting! So I am stuck in here until 8:30pm and guess what, I'm in tomorrow for another 13 1/2 hr shift!, God only knows what will be said when I tell her the good news when she gets up (she's on nights if you remember). SO TO ALL MY FELLOW REDS have a drink for me and wish me luck, and hope the Puppy is still alive when we finally open the pressis on Friday, (only joking about the puppy).
Plus some ony has taken the Radio out of the office so I can not listen to the Match, FFS! :f_steam:

Tough luck mate! I'll tip a pint to you tonight! :) Hope you have a good'un when you're finished!

Hard work there RedPuppy.  I put in 2 and a half hours for the NHS today but it was against my will tbh - I'm in every day now apart from Sunday.  So jealous of all you bas**rds who get 2 weeks off.

Didn't get much LFC related.  I think everyone's scared I've already got it all.  I got the Bourne DVD box-set which I will look forward to watching and I got two dressing gowns!  Didn't get any socks and to be honest I'm a bit disappointed about that.

And to match the name I got a JD gift set - a couple of glasses, a couple of miniatures and a dominoes set.  Rock on.

Same here. Back in work tomorrow and not off til Sunday. Probably a good thing though. I got lots of Stella for Christmas and I'd end up drinking it all before new years eve if I was off.

Made up with all my socks though.  ;)

By the way, RED1028 was in touch on Christmas day and said to tell everyone all the best. And that he was bloated, full of mince pies and stuffing! He's got a run soon as well the nutter!  ;D

Is it just me or does it not feel like Christmas at all any more?

That's cos it's not Christmas any more JD, to me Christmas is Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, we've got the New Year to look forward to now ;D

Maybe it's cos I'm back in work.  If I was off for two weeks I would be drinking beer and eating chocolate and watching all my Xmas DVD's.

I hate work.  How much is the dole these days out of interest? Would it cover my broadband?
