I must say though.  That night pic doesn't half look stunning.

I don't agree to having a big row of executive boxes in the Kop.

Funny, but last time we had loads of comments from the players and the manager about how excited they were.

Why none of that today?   :f_whistle:

The day we all dreaded has come to pass. Unfortunately, as we were all hoping against hope, the Yanks have weighed their anchor. It is a sad day for Liverpool FC and it's loyal fans.

The club is now fronted by a pair of self centered, lying back stabbers. Harsh in the light that a new stadium will finally get built and more importantly Rafa keeping his job :) BUT and this is a massive but, Liverpool FC is forever tainted by the goings on of the past 6 months. I just can't wrestle any thoughts of happiness from any corner of my brain right now. I feel like it's come to a big 'So what?' The ironic timing of the delivery of the stadium plans and refinancing details are nothing short of a contradictory collision of words... No debt to the club when building the new stadium? Pure lies!

It should be a day of celebration - a brand new stadium that most clubs would die for but after the false dawn since the last revelations of the stadium plans and the sh*t Rafa and the boys have been through I feel quite numb and very upset. The fans have not even been addressed or informed by the owners and that shows a huge amount disrespect to them. Nothing but sh*t and lies then a big 'look at this' (that should make them happy) from the idiots playing monopoly with OUR CLUB! I don't even feel bothered to care right now (but I do!)

The very fact corporate boxes run through the centre of 'The Kop' says it all to me. The Kop is Liverpool Fc's iconic representation of the passion felt by the fans for their club. It is a huge insult to to have it infiltrated this way. The Kop is unique but again the Yanks have fu**ed it up! They are so out of touch with the fans it is untrue!  >:( :f_steam: And then there are the naming rights to consider... that should be fun...

It is worth noting that most of us will visit the new stadium but how will we actually feel when we reflect on the journey we have taken to get to that point as a fan. Will our emotions have been brushed under the carpet as we take our seats for our fist match in the new stadium? I guess not. Tainted and with a very bitter taste in the mouth is my guess. These feelings will pass but this episode will never be forgotten. RED1028

I guess so mate but I could be wrong too. Disabled fans would need easy access and exit to their area in the respect of health and safety, no lifts in case of emergency. I was recently at the Emirates on row 26 behind the goal. There was a disabled section to my right and the reason why I think they could be that high up was because the ground at the end of the stadium where I was was level with the ground on outside of the stadium.

Executive boxes on the Kop? Fans, scarfs, big banners and lots of noise for me not the prawn sandwich brigade in their air con suites...  :(

To be honest there is not much difference, and we are a fickle lot, the BS would be loving this, plus they would love a ground like the one we are gonna get. The way the yanks are going to save money is peddle, Bud or Coors I guess, with dunkin' donuts, and have monster truck racing at half time!  What matters is were we will be at the end of the season and who will be manager!

Still waiting for planning to give us the go a head, for the upgrade to 71,000 seats, and nothing will be sorted till the take over talkes are done.

Where I've moved to (the other side of Anfield Cemetary) is within the mailing list for the Stanley Park project, and I got a letter the other day confirming that the work is starting more or less immediately!

Official word from Liverpool City Council, so some spades should start hitting soil anytime soon! :)

as long as they dont have those sh*te boxes in the Kop and the ability to expand the stadium in needed then its all sweet. i definately like the first roof better than the new one and im not sure about the away end being almost as big as the Kop.

Would anyone want to see us playing football at a stadium that the yanks designed? Any remember we'd be playing there for a good century no?

I love the inside look of the stadium, big, daunting, intimidating. I think the Kop looks good too.

However the outside is a little....alien-ish. Surely they can come up with something more keeping in tone with Liverpool FC. I like the look of it with all the glass, but the design makes me worried.

Your guess is as good as ours mate.

TBH I'd rather the building didn't start until the funds are definitely secured though. The only thing that could be worse than not getting cracking on building it would be to start & run out of money to finish it, what would we do then? I'm sure someone would come in to help us finish it, but they'd have us by the balls & we'd end up paying them ridiculous money. I know it's frustrating having to wait for the work to start, but if we've not got any guarantees that all the money will be available then we should wait a little longer.

At first i liked the other design my the Manchester based firm but after looking at the designs i quite like this one. Its completely different and unique. Not like any of stadium like Arsenal or Man Utd. I just hope it gets built now.
