One of the best matches I've seen in a long time!

Safe to say Kohli is back.

Yeah enjoyed that, love those games between India and Pakistan. No such thing as a friendly game between those two.

Some of Kohli's sixes were superb.

England have won the toss against New Zealand and have decided to bat first.

Pretty much must win with the Aussies picking up the win yesterday over Ireland.

      Stokes
      Brook
      Ali

      Buttler gone for eight.

Great catch from Williamson off the bowling off Santner.

      45-1.

Scrap that, on the replay it's come out of his hands and grounded it.

Powerplay done, bar the 5th over where Hales got going it was a rather subdued opening six overs. But it's a good platform to build on.

      48-0

      Half century up for Hales!!!

Following ball he comes dancing down the pitch and misses it completely and Conway whips the bails off. First wicket for Santner and New Zealand.

81-1. Moeen Ali coming to the crease.

Buttler dropped again, this time by Mitchell on the boundary. Really should be taken.

Sodhi gets the wicket of Ali for 5, caught by Boult in the deep. Slight fumble, but kept hold.

      108-2.

Probably Stokes in next to keep the right hand/left hand combination. Alright, they've gone for Livingstone instead.

Livingstone scoop for four, tries it again the next ball but misses a straight one and gets bowled by Ferguson and is gone for 20.

153-3, just over two overs remaining. The exciting Harry Brook coming to the crease.

Six then out for Brook to start the 19th over. Caught on the boundary going for another maximum by Allen off Southee's bowling.

      160-4. 10 balls left.

Stokes smashes straight it at extra cover where the excellent Kane Williamson is fielding. Great stop and throw and Southee does well to get the ball back on the stumps to run out Buttler for 73.

      162-5.

Sam Curran at the crease now, eight balls left.

Stokes for all his brilliance is not a t20 player. You don't get 10 balls to get your eye in in this format and he needs that.

      Stokes given out LBW.

      176-6.

He's reviewed since we have it, but it looks plumb.

      Final ball of the innings.

Three off the final ball, misfield and great running by Malan and Curran.

Setting a target of 180 won't be easy to chase down if we bowl well.

when you compare the Cricket and Rugby version of VAR they leave football in the dark ages. That was a really good contest hard fought for every run its a good target for both teams early wickets would be nice.

Stokes will pack this format in at the end of this tournament I think. Doesn't need to be playing it with his injuries.

You could throw tennis in there as well mate. I don't watch much tennis but when they challenge a line call and I think it's because in those sports they have set in stone what they're looking for but also allow room for human "error" with things like umpire's call. Footballs use of it is far too selective and there's no consistency with it at all. And everyone in the stadium can see what's happening in those sports whereas football is all behind the scenes.
