Been said on commentary that the ball is not swinging, so could be a long day in the field.Curren back on..

Jof just got a wicket and Root takes him off.Curren targetting LBW bowling at Smith's pads but Smith is a master off his pads.

Might be Jof is changing ends.

Ball not swinging, England targeting the stumps and should get some joy against these average middle order players who will inevitably miss one.

Payne will go down in my thoughts as one of the least talented Australian captains to lift the urn at the end of this game.

      Out for 1.

Woakes for cheap (80) just like I said ;D

England have been really good today, because batting has been even easier on this pitch today than yesterday.

Kept it straight and picked up the LBWs.

That's just poor game awareness from Leach. Wake the f**k up.

Plus he cant be bowling at this stage of the game. Wheres Broad?

      Yes Jofra!

Other than being captain Root has no business being in the slips. Awful catcher in there.

That's how you do it from Rory Burns!! Magnificent catch.

Haha his brother is supposed to be the better bowler but I dont see it. Having a left arm swing bowler in the side gives us a bit more variety and gives Root more options.

When it swings properly he can be really effective, yesterday there was just a little bit for him.

England will have to bat the day today and hopefully a little into tomorrow. Another 100 overs on this pitch and it will start to misbehave. If we get ourselves out quickly and cheaply, this is still a road to bat on.

I think we will need a 350 lead to be comfortable. 270 may well be enough but you would want a cushion.

Such a good batting wicket this, and although it will turn, I've yet to see Leach win us a match with his bowling.

Englands job here is to be no more than 2 down at lunch. Need to see off this new ball for Root who is our best chance of 100.

Big fan of Burns, hes not without his faults but against easier attacks I think he can score 100s for us. Hes shaped up well against the Aussie quicks this series.

Urghhh short and wide from Lyon and its nicked by Burns. Ugly way to get out, but no issue with the shot, it was there to smash.

Root has a platform though, this is a big innings for him to take the game away from  Australia.

2 of the more useless Aussie cricketers in Payne and Wade just been told to shut up by Erasmus.

You have to admire in a strange way Paynes misplaced confidence in himself to   pipe up considering his decision at the toss and his average in the series, and indeed any other series.
