couple of good uns, haven't been in a creative frame of mind of late hence why I haven't done any new poems of me own. Not that they've been missed thanks to our very talented aw1, very talented lad indeed.

just edited me original poem to include Reira and Flora.

      Day 5

Liverpool played host to newly promoted Stoke,
Our performance was crap, a complete joke,
We had a goal ruled out from a Gerrard free-kick,
      For what,I don't know,the linesman's a pr**k.

In truth we didn't create a lot,
nothing apart from long range shots,
they kept coming from Alonso and Gerrard,
      some too soft,others too hard.

And with that famous Anfield roar,
the set pieces were continually poor,
we really have to pick up our act,
Cos we can still win the title,FACT.

Yes we got another clean sheet,
but we should have wiped our feet,
today we shot ourselves in the paws,
      After 5 games we've 3 wins and 2 draws.

      STEVIE G

In the middle of the park. He's simply the best
The man from Huyton. With an "S" on his chest
He's our captain and wears the armband with pride
Walks out, onto Anfield. At the front of the side

Impossible angles he finds, for his passes
Leaves players for dead.Lying there on their asses
His shots are unstoppable. They hit the back of the net
He's the player you write down. For first scorer,on your bet

Istanbul heroics, put his name into folk law
When he lifted the cup.Must have felt like Bobby Moore
      Respects the surport.The fans.His singers
When Chelsea came knocking.Gave Jose two fingers

With that exceptional talent, one day we cant fail
To watch him lift up.What's now.Our holy grail
So remember. His words,on the day we win the title..
"I stayed here for days like this"

You should have done the same,Michael

      Carling Cup Round three

We played Crewe in a third round tie,
Fans had their usual drink and scouse pie,
On 15 we heard a roar from the crowd,
This time the free kick wasn't disallowed.

It was thumped in by the impressive Dane,
Degan once again was feeling the pain,
They scored, tapping in at the back post,
From a set piece, where we concede most.

A Lucas header saw us retake the lead,
Torres came on trying to finish the deed,
They only managed a few late chances,
Caused Rafa to give some nervy glances.

We were captained by the everygreen Finn,
The margin of victory was far too thin,
It would have been more, only for last ditch blocks,
Shots being stopped by boots, bodiesand socks.

The final whistle was greeted with "PHEW",
Still job done, we made it through.

      Day Six

Merseyside was filled with with passion and desire,
We had the right balance of ice and fire,
Friiends and families divided in two,
For the lunchtime kick off of Red versus Blue.

They had the first chance, cahill missed a sitter,
We just laughed because....... they're all bitter,
The ref Mike Riley was again card happy,
      Tackles were fiery,often quite snappy.

The first half you'd swear the ball was made from  cement,
The second saw 3 early shots signalling our intent,
In 4 minutes Torres scored with two clinical strikes,
Both came from the right foot of his white pair of nikes.

With 10 minutes to go cahill saw red,
But by then they were already dead,
It was billed as Benitez against moyes,
More a case of men versus boys.

Till the next time we've got bragging rights,
To be used at work by days and in pubs by nights,
While we celebrate they all sop,
It's even sweeter that we're joint top.

      Record Breaking Reds

Off we went to Stamford Bridge
Followed by men, women and kids
Singing their hearts out throughout the match
To play unbeaten Chelsea on their own patch

86 games at home without a loss
Thought they were class and boss
We didn't have Skrtel or our number 9
But their record had to go some time

Calling us underdogs was being kind
Saying we had no chance though was just being blind
We're Liverpool FC and we always come out on top
With our eleven heroes and the travelling Kop

A goal quite early from our number 14
Knowing a win put us top of the league
We had to defend but they didn't trouble us
We put an end to their run with minimal fuss

We're still unbeaten with more to come
We're in this chase for a very long run
We don't care who we play or at which ground
Because it'll always be us who are making the sound

They huffed and the puffed but couldn't get through
Red was the colour second place was blue
      Lampard, Terry, Mikel and Cole
None of them found a way to Reina's goal

So a 1-0 win was enough on the day
Top of the league and we'll be there come May
A comfortable win who could ask for more
The only team this season to stop them to score

Unbeaten all season well their ship has sailed
They lost to us so that dream has failed
But we're still unbeaten and will be all season
If we can't then what is the reason?

      My Shrine

I sit and look around my room
Scarves and banners, posters and shirts
My own shrine when there's doom
To bring me back up when my life hurts

Not an ounce of space left to fill
But with my next collectable item I'm sure I will
17 years collecting and to this day I still
And as I look around it still gives me the thrill

Pictures of the greats and flags of all sizes
Pinned up on my wall to remind me what I'm supporting
Giving me hope when life demoralises
There's only one bird I'll forever be courting

The one on my cieling I see when I wake
The only bird who can mend the heart it might break
And this is my bird and nobody can take
To try and replace it with a mickey mouse fake

Bed spread and covers, badges all around
A toy bus and cards I've collected over the years
A Liverpool carpet covers the ground
And soaks up my cries and listens to my cheers

Pinned on my wall is my very first hat
Flannels, clocks and even a mouse mat
My shrine picks up whenever I feel flat
My shrine is forever there is no doubt over that

      Lying b***ard Scum

It's got to the stage where even an apology won't fix
Those horrid F***ing words you wrote about our 96
Members of the Liverpool family and friends of us all
Died on a day when they went to watch a match of football

But losing their lives wasn't enough for you tw*ts
Well you got your F***ing blood money you dirty sewer rats
So piss off to the stone from where you origionally crawled
Can't stand your paper I won't even say what it's called

How you can live with youselves is still beyond me
Walking through life happy and free
While 96 people will never walk again
And that pleases you bas**rds you're an insult to men

A few words on a paper can hurt so many
But you lying b***ard scum didn't care about any
The boycott is strong and will be forever
Your paper isn't worth sh*t to hold it together

Enjoy the life you have but you rotting in hell
Inform Satan of the lies you would happily tell
      You're a bunch of lying b***ard scum
Who banged the last sound of the Hillsborough drum.

      New Ground

All this talk of a new ground
      Got me thinking
Do I really want us to move?
      I've worshiped at Anfield
      For so bleedin long now
My seat has got a moulded groove

People say we have to move with the times
But will the new ground experince the smiles and cries?
60,000 seats for the Liverpool faithful to fill
But will it generate the famous Anfield thrill?

      What will we take
      From one ground
      To the next?
      Trophies and records
      But the memories
      Will only be reflects

We crave this new stadium with our usual passion
But will the atmosphere be in usual Anfield fashion?
Questions over the naming rights seems to be top of the list
But why not Anfield to ensure the name still exists?

      My viens contain
      Blood of Liverpool
      And Anfield Red
      Leaving the place
      Would give me a heart
      As heavy as the led

The money isn't there to afford Stanley Park
But when it is will Anfield's nights shadow in the dark?
The memories it holds will never be replaced
But a new stadium is what we've dearly chased

      I don't want
      To leave behind
      The ground where I grew
      A place I adore
      And always ensured
      I would never be blue

A lifetime of a memories will be found at New Anfield
But after my lifetime leaving Anfield still won't have healed
So a new ground is the way forward I'm told
But I can't leave the old place where I never walked alone.

      Kings of Europe

It started at home against Crusaders
A two nil win thanks to Neal and Toshack
Who would of thought it'd end up in Rome
      Where we'd beat Monchengladbach

It was off to Turkey to face Trabzonspor
We lost the first leg but our head's didn't drop
Three nil at Anfield and off we went
To one of the best games in front of the Kop

St Ettienne were the side that stood in our way
A one nil deafeat still wasn't enough
So onto an electric Anfield where the crowd buzzed
Goals from Keegan, Kennedy and Davey Fairclough

A comfortable game in the semi final
With a win over Zurich off we went to Rome
Three one in the final over the Germans
Led to us bringing our first of five to our home.

So defending champs and our reign started
Ending at Wembley to be champions once more
A first round win over Dynamo Desden
Set us on the road for another European tour

On to Benfica where we won both legs
Then once again it was Monchengladbach
We lost in Germany but we didn't lie down
A three nil win put us right on track

Wembley was the ground 78 the year
Brugges the opponents and born was a King
Kenny's goal in the final was enough for a win
Our second of five and it's such a wonderful thing.

Fast forward three years for us to be kings again
This one all started against a side no-one knew
      Ollou Passoseura was their name
But we still progressed overall eleven two

Onto round two where we'd face Aberdeen
Comfortable wins sent us through with ease
And then two wins over Sofia
      Made the Kopites quite pleased

Into the semis and another German side waited
Bayern Munich their name but this was Liverpool
Nil nil at Anfield set up a right game over there
But seven minutes from time and Ray Kennedy was cool

Onto the final thanks to the away goal rule
Spanish giants Real Madrid but we wasn't scared
After Barney's mazey and rifled home shot
Liverpool fans were celebrating their third.

Our fourth came in 84 and once again in Rome
This time with Joe at the helm
But this was still the European Cup
And Liverpool still ruled this realm

      BK Odense, Bilboa and Benfica
Scored one goal between them as we marched on
Bucharest came but just as quickly
The lads from Romania had gone

So onto Rome where we'd play the hosts
AS Roma in the own back yard
Conte and co thought they had it won
But Souey and the boys made sure it was hard

One one at the whistle extra time came
Still couldn't be seperated so it went to pens
Where two wobbly legs owned by our Bruce
Didn't make too many Roman friends

Steve Nicol missed but it wasn't to matter
Zico, Souey and then Rushie would all score
Then magnificent Barney would get the winner
And out of the five we now had the four.

Over twenty years later the Reds were right back
Under the guidance of a man from Spain
Rafa Benitez and his new look side
Would make us champions once again

GAK Graz were the first in our way
Two Stevie screams put in place for the group
But all didn't go to plan and we looked down and out
And typical Liverpool our heads didn't droop

Another magic moment from Stevie saw us through
After Flo and Mellor gave us reason to believe
A three one win over Olympiakos was enough
To put the mighty Red men into the last sixteen

We played Leverkusen and taught them a lesson
Garcia was brilliant and we didn't break sweat
Onto Juve and we were out before it started
Not this Liverpool who feared none that we met

Garcia and Sami both scored in the first leg
A slight mistake made the second quite tense
But Juve and their superstars would never break down
The brick wall called Liverpool's defence

So onto Chelsea the smug southern tw*ts
Again we were told we don't have a chance
But after holding out at the Bridge and a Garcia goal
We heard one of Mourinho's most famous rants

Into Istanbul we stood toe to toe with Milan
By half time our good run had ended
Then again this is Liverpool and Europe
And the three nil deficit was soon ammended

Stevie, Vlad and the third came from Xabi
We survived extra time and it was pens once again
After Shevchenko's miss and Jerzsy's wobblies
The European Cup belonged to our Red men.
