Ive got no idea who the hell it is but im sure it will be a winger with Kewell leaving, we need an out n out winger as i think Babel will eventually move up front and our best winger at the moment is Beneyoun and hes not even a winger. Could be another striker if Voronin leaves though...

Rafael Benitez today revealed he has already made plans to strengthen his squad for next season.
Despite facing the challenge of trying to lead the Reds to more European glory this campaign, the Liverpool boss admits plans are already underway - and deals have already been set in place - to bring fresh faces to the club in time for the new campaign.

"We are working on trying to improve the squad for next season," said Benitez. "We have some movements for next season, so we will continue trying to do the same.

"At least we are trying to go forward. We have had meetings with the scouting department, we talk about targets and they travel all around the world talking with players and agents. We are trying to do our job.

"We were this morning progressing in some issues and we will do the same. We have some signings for the next season done. They are senior players for the first team and young players for the first team and reserve team. Two of them are really close, young players, and one senior player is done. He talks good English, but is not English."

The b***ard is teasing us! I just want to know who the hell it is. Maybe a PL player who is foreign? First thought was Berbatov but probably not.[\b]

If it was Flamini, it'd probably mean the end of Alonso. We'd make around £12m for Alonso and pay nothing for Flamini... that would work out brilliantly.

I like Alonso though but he needs to pull his socks up!

Yea I know he has been playing under par of late and with the likes of Lucas and Masch fighting for a regular start but he did work well with Gerrard against Blackburn.

You can negotiate a cash transfer at any time, it just can't go through until the start of the next window.

      ^^Good shout.
But he is a definitely a 'big name' which Ballague said he wasn't.

I'm hoping its Aaron Ramsey...relatively low-key, has an english-sounding name, but isn't english...

Will take alot of effort to pry Silva away from Valencia, local lad playing for his side. Imagine someone trying to take Jamie or Stevie away from us. The emotional ties he would have with the club would definately push the price up and his wages.

Note the Valencia are 16th in La Liga.
Gerrard thought about leaving us after we finished 4th one season, but if we finished 16th he would have been gone gone gone! Thats reality!
