EPL 2008/2009

Hi Guys,

I need your help, I am planning a trip around Europe commencing from the 5th of June and finishing it on 21st August where I will be fulfilling one dream of supporting Croatia at Euro 2008 and I am hoping to fulfill another at the same time by wathcing Liverpool at Anfield. I have been doing some research on the start of the EPL 2008/2009 season and can not find the exact date the season kicks off. I know the draw would not be out being April only now but does anybody know when the first round commences??

No exact date for you mate, but it usually starts around mid August?

This season started on August 11th..............so next season will probably start on the 9th or 16th August 

I'd imagine it will kick off the weekend of the 11th/12th August.  We will then (if we finish 4th) have one of those European qualifiers in the mid-week.

Dadoriuos, I was going to post a topic on this too...am planning a visit in October this year but want to see the fixture first.... hopefully see if I can get there when we also have a Champions league group game on midweek. Two games, 1 week....

Yeah Aussie Red I am trying to squeeze it all into a one off massive trip. If that doesnt work out for me I will probably just spend a day at Liverpool and checkout Anfield and the city for a night.

Good luck mate, hope it all works out for you, but I'm sure you'll need to spend more than one day in Liverpool..you might spend all 24 hours in a pub with our Scouser friends from this site.

Your honest to god best chance in getting a ticket is the Qualifying Round.

Otherwise you have got no chance unless you know someone who could get you the tickets.

Wow is it that tough!? I have just applied for a fan card so thats a step in the right direction.

Good on you mate.
Eveybody should own a fan card at the very least if Liverpool's your team.
