That takes commitment and credibility - one reason why he could
      never achieve that goal.

      Well said.

Up 3-0 about to go back to the top of the league in the 88th minute and you could hear a pin drop at the Bridge.

I usually blank newspaper stories but this one suits me. ;D

The daily fail reports that the chavs feel sorry for Maureen and are going to have a whip round to pay his Ā£8000 fine.

      So chavski have got Athletico...

Probably the better draw for us, as they will believe they have a chance of winning that tie

      Game on !

It'll be interesting to see how the Courtois loan works out, now that EUFA have said that Chelsea
can not block him from playing. Will the FA have a look at their own legislation?

It's a very interesting conundrum racer but I wonder if a player, playing against his parent club, was to have a stinker and/or score a couple of own goals would they then look at 'it' again?  :confused-smiley-013:

Just out of interest, I don't think they would (fat Sam would, the dirty b***ard) but could they recall him?

I think, with the loan signings, you never really expect to see it at this high level.
I should remind myself that Italian clubs do it a lot, but whenever I think about
loan signing I think about Championship or League 1 deals. It could easily be
a situation Liverpool could find themselves in, if we ever played our loan signings.

Obviously a consequence of the player hoarding that goes on at Chelsea.

      Quote from UEFA website

"But Uefa insists any clause in the Belgianā€™s contract with Chelsea is ā€œnull, void and unenforceableā€ during a Champions League fixtue, with general secretary Gianni Infantino confirming the Blues would be punished if they try to enforce it."

Even though I would like nothing less but on this occassion I hope Atletico don't tank them in the first leg so they have something to play for in the second tie.
Would be great to see those morons crying into their plastic flags on their own turf.

I think I read something about Courtois could play against the Chavs, but the clause in loan deal was it would cost A Madrid 3 million euros a game.

With matches kicking off 7 mins later this weekend, is it just me fully expecting the chavs to lower the tone?

Absolutely not. I've thought about it as well and I've resigned myself to the fact that these no marks will indeed lower the tone.

I didn't see the Chelsea game today, but was the Swansea player deserving of 2 yellows? Also, I am please Chelsea won against PSG, this means their match against us is Sandwiched between their 2 CL legs. That is quite a plus for us. Manchester United losing to Buyern Munich has made it quite a delightful week for us. I would like us to beat Chelsea and then Chelsea get knocked out of Europe a few days later.
