He's tried though its not like he was crap from start to finish people seem to forget he played a large part in 5 of 8 goals against besiktas setting a new record. If he just didnt bother to try and just acted like he didnt care i could understand but he doesnt do that.

Agreed 100%! I remember watching the Champion's League qualifying matches v. Toulouse with my french in-laws and us all being really impressed with him! He looked full of assurance, confident and a great eye for goal! I thought he could be the perfect partner for Crouch (who nodded on the ball for Voronin's famous strike against Toulouse), how wrong we were... Just another could-have-been in the history of Liverpool.

I'm sure he could do well for another club (outside of the EPL that is) and I'm not going to slag him off, it's just made even worse by the fact that he gets to wear the number 10... like a bad joke really. Maybe with his porn-star locks he could have been number 69?

I don't think Voronin has the hunger he needs to play for us. When he first came here i was looking forward to seeing him play, but that's just totally gone down hill. If he did stay another season, which i doubt it, i just hope he works his socks off in training and when he does get a chance during a game then have that hunger we see from Crouch and co.
I mean.. look at Peter crouch, who isn't getting much of a look in for for first team action, yet when he does get his chance, he is so hungry to play, wants every ball, even scores as well.
Although to be fair to Voronin he did come on a free transfer, and a free transfer compared to what we payed for Crouchy and Torres, well you get what you pay for, and with Voronin we got sh*t.

He's made some valid point on crime and the state of our health service which he's entitled to do and as I'm welsh foreigners have a job of understanding my English so you lot aren't alone in that so all in all he's said nothing offensive about very little. I cannot believe people on here are taking more notice of a newspaper article than the LFC official website, especially after everything involving us and the papers this season. Very harsh on Andriy, even though I dont think he is a good player we all know papers twist anything to make the player look bad it's a Disgrace. I hope people will now start to take notice of our own website not a stupid damn newspaper.

I dont like him much but he has denied it himself so i doubt he said it in the first place and even if he had as i said earlier not every player prefers england to their homeland. I think there is certainly no need to attack him.

To begin with, I never said I don't like it here. When I first moved here I didn't find it easy because I'd lived in Germany for 12 years. I didn't know the language but I'm gradually getting there. My wife had a baby here and, thank God, everything was okay. So, I am getting more and more used to life here every day.

We are feeling much better than six or seven months ago. When we have time we go into town. My wife likes to spend time shopping in the city. We like it here and don't have any problems with life in England or the town, except for the weather!
 
Do you come into much contact with the fans and what do you make of them?
 
Liverpool fans are the best and most passionate in the world. Before I came here I knew about them. Now I can play in front of them and I love it. The support we receive is amazing. I have played in many stadiums and have never had any problems with the fans, but I have never come across the kind of connection between the players and fans as we have here in Liverpool.
 
How is your English coming along? Some of the comments in the newspapers suggested you were having trouble understanding Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher?
 
[Laughs] Stevie and Carra have Liverpudlian accents, obviously. I find it difficult to understand the Scouse accent, but that's natural I think. It is easier for me to understand the Spanish lads and the boss because they speak slower. My English has progressed quite a bit, though, and I can now communicate well with my teammates and the coach. I'm hoping that very soon my Scouse accent will start to come through.

Still, even the b est attitude in the world can't save him from the fact he's not good enough. Ship him out in the summer Rafa.

He definately shouldnt be our number 10 but i dont think he deserves abuse from our fans for papers twisting his words, rafa doesnt get it when the papers do it to him.

Voronin was total rubbish when he came on as sub against Arsenal in the league,but as another poster has said he reckons the press have completely twisted his story.Why would he want to leave L.F.C.when he would not get the wages from another club that he is earning here.I will just say in his defence he came here on a free which is just as well as it would of been embarrassing if we had paid money for him.
