i think it will be difficult with no carra and no riise. i dont think we wil go full out just try and stop them from scoring although it is on neutral territory so who knows but i'm expecting a boring 0-0 draw maybe we win 1-0 but my initial thought is it will 0-0

Don't think I could take a 0-0 with the constant threat of them nicking a late tie-winning goal.

For the sake of my blood pressure - I hope we get a quick 2 goal lead.

Have confidence lad, It was a big day for Sheff Utd. It was probebly the worse time to play them, they were so up for there first game in the top flight for 12 years. We'll win on Tuesday and by October everyone will be dicking Sheff Utd home and away!  ;D

      Potential banana skin this one.
Cant possibly give you a scoreline, or tell you who will score.
All that is important to me is that we win, we qualify and we get a good run when the comp kicks off proper.
That we cannot afford another Sheffield Utd. 1st half display goes without saying!

      Tonights Team v Haifa
      Team for tonight:

      Quote
      Reina,
      Finnan, Warnock, Hyypia, Agger,
      Sissoko, Alonso, Gonzalez, Pennant,
      Garcia,
      Crouch.

Subs - Dudek, Kromkamp, Gerrard, Fowler, Aurelio, Bellamy, Zenden.

Steven Gerrard will start on the bench for Liverpool against Maccabi Haifa in Kiev tonight as Rafa Benitez rings the changes for this crucial Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg tie.

The skipper has been suffering from a stomach upset and manager Benitez has therefore opted for a central midfield pairing of Momo Sissoko and the returning Xabi Alonso as the Reds look to book their place in the lucrative group phase of the competition.

Also back for Liverpool, after missing the weekend draw at Sheffield United, are Luis Garcia, Steve Finnan, Jermaine Pennant, Peter Crouch and Stephen Warnock.

      Unimpressed by the first half.

I think it's their green kits merging in to the pitch that's doing for us.
