Foster Gillett, DIC and Tom Hicks at Anfield
      Apr 22, 2008 01:12:01 am
Hmm.. wonder what they will be talking about at half time.

George Gillett won't be at tonight's game due to illness, however his son Foster Gillett will be.  So will Tom Hicks.  And so will the Gillett families special guests - Dubai Investment Capital.

       :lmao:

You really couldn't make this up.

It will be Tom Hicks first visit to Anfield in four months.

      Benitez, amusingly said:

"I don't think the supporters will be thinking too much about the directors' box. They will be thinking about the game,''

I really doubt that Tom Hicks would be able to deal with being in the same Directors booth wit the DIC representatives and Gillett's son. It really does look like the DIC are gonna go on with the deal after all.

The fans!!! they're gonna show Tom Hicks up.

Not a good thing to be honest, dont really want any of the crowd attention taken away from the match during it ATALL. Want the chelsea players to feel the full force of the anfield crowds noise.

Parry and Gillete are both sorry they allowed Hicks into LFC. He has obviously said all the right things to them too and theyve believed him. Thankfully they are united in their agreement now that the solution to all of this is sole ownership by DIC and they are working together now to do that. Hicks has first opportunity to buy out Gillete by end of May, but he cant get the funds up. At the end of May, maybe after a court battle if Hicks disputes it, DIC will buy out Gillete. They will then finance the new stadium with ease and with that balance of power then so heavily stacked in DIC`s favour Hicks will be pushed out of the club.
Tonight is Gilletes way of indicating to the fans and Hicks that he fully intends to bring them into the club.
Good on him because id sooner see the future of LFC built on DIC money than one after the next of Hicks`s crippling loans.

In fact its the exact private room where Torres / Robinson interview when they met Dalglish /Souness /Lee which is doing the rounds on here.

Popped me head in the window ansd old fatso was sitting there stuffing himself. Got plenty of heavies with him though

Expect to hear this from the stadium announcer tonight.

'Ladies and Gentleman, i am pleased to announce that tonights half time entertainment is a fight between Tom Hicks and Sameer Al-Ansari so if you would like to go and put a bet on the do so now' ;D

I know it could be a good sign with DIC there but to be honest if we win then the press wont focus on that, instead it will be all about who is in that directors box.

on the topic sort of, I read in el pais that if hicks doesn't get his sh*t together and deal with his debts that it could lead to losing valuable players. has anyone heard about this? is it really possible?

Did anyone see the tit trying to sing YNWA.  Embarrassing.

Also I caught him doing a big yawn in the first half.  Maybe he should have given up his seat to a Liverpool fan who would have loved to have been there?

Let's face it - every one of the Liverpool board members is a complete tit.  The only hope is that they all get removed in the order of the biggest arseholes first.

Yes I did and it made me feel sick to my stomach to see him attempting to sing obviously not knowing the words, could have been worse I suppose, at least he didn't hold his scarf above his head, what a gobsh*te. Just been reported on SSN that both owners,Crusty the clown Parry and Rafa will have "clear the air " talks within the next week, now I'd pay good money to be at that one.

Clearly a PR stunt. If I was his PR manager I would have advised him against it, as us fans would (rightly) just take it as a stunt designed to portray him as someone who really cares for the club, but we all know it's just a business opportunity for the pr**k. Let's hope the DIC rep LFC fan will give positive reports to the Sheikh and Hicks will finally realise he cannot be forgiven and pack his bags along with Gillett.
