Mersey Tunnel Walk (Sun 19th July)
      Jul 15, 2009 03:18:37 pm
Anybody else doing this at the weekend?  Celebrating 75 years since the Liverpool to Birkenhead tunnel was opened.

Family ticket £15 - adult tickets £5 each - all proceeds go to Clare House.

Walk through Queensway, (2 miles) - entertainment on - ferry back.

If you're heading down to take part - I'll see you there.

      Bump.

About 12,000 there today.  Although it looks like I was the only one on the forum who isn't a lazy b***ard. ;)

And I got a medal for my trouble too so there!  Been years since I was on the ferry as well - the skyline of Liverpool really is totally different these days coming back over.

Then a few jars at La Tasca before a mad rush home for the footie.

      Shattered.

Good stuff. Sounds like a good bit of dosh was raised if there was 12,000. I would have been up for this if I wasn't going out on the ale last night in Manchester.

      Did you take any pics?

What do you mean 'sh*t phone'??  ;) I seen a pic on twitter anyway, so yeah, I believe you.

You know when you were walking through the tunnel, I bet you looked for water dripping from the ceiling at least once.  ;)
