Just seen he's asked for a transfer,

I always had high hopes for him and its a shame he didnt have the right attitude to deal with being at a big club at a young age, I thought Rafa had belife in him as he started him against Juve in the Champions League but TLT says he's not goin out on loan again and wants to move back to France.......

      Anythoughts??

Thought he and pongolle were going to both do well but just hasn't happend for either. Wonder if it's anything to do with them not being rafa signings or coz there french and rafa being spanish?they don't like the french .Cisse on his way too..................... ....

neither of them good enough for LFC.Pongolle always looked like he was going to get sent off and Le Tallec always looked like he was going to start crying.Flo was good in spurts but wasn't good enough.

Both good players. But when a new manager comes in, they want their own man. I think Flo-Po especially could do well but he's not really had a chance, either with us or even on loan. I also think Rafa will probably get rid of Mellor as well.

It looks like Rafa will have to spend big this summer but I do believe he will make the right signings and will make us a great team once again

Agree with biggie about mellor, never thought he was good enough for us always looked overweight and to slow.

[To succeed in anything in life including high demand professional sport like football, one needs to be given a proper chance, guidance and support. Above all the young players specially also need to have the confidence of their managers/coaches in their abilities. So far, FSP, Le Tallec and Neil Mellor have had limited opportunities at Liverpool and even though they have not been outstandingly successful, I think they all have done reasonably well. Bearing in mind that they are all still fairly young and maturing, I really think that they can make it at Liverpool.
They all have talent to succeed and it would be a pity to get rid of them now and see them succeed elsewhere after investing so much time and money in them over the last 2-3 years.
I personally don't think Raffa will sell both FSP and Le Tallec because he believes in nurturning young talent, we only need to look at some young players that he has signed for the future. Besides we can clearly also see that Raffa is also ruthless and not afraid to admit his mistakes. That is proven by the departure of Pelegrino, Nunez, Josemi and Nando. Also think what a manager's faith in you can do for you, to name Crouch and Kewell.
Therefore I seriously hope that all our young players including Djib show patience and stay at Liverpool and that Raffa give them the same kind chances and support that Crouch and Kewell have had.]

      Le Mans sign Liverpool striker
      Sunday 29 June 2008 - 06:29:51 http://footylatest.com/news/news.php?item.986.6
French side Le Mans have completed the permanent signing of Liverpool striker Anthony Le Tallec on a four year contract, after spending last season there on loan.

He was originally bought by Gerard Houllier from Le Havre at the same time as his cousin Sinama-Pongolle and the two "starlets" were supposed to go on to great things, but it never really happened for Le Tallec.

Finally he isn't ours. Good luck le tallec.

About time.  Right up there with Harry Kewell on the sponging books.  6 long years we had him for.

I always liked Tony and thought in the early days he showed some promise. Pity it didn't work out. Hope he can start his career again now. Good luck to the lad I say.
