      Plastic fans!
      May 12, 2008 09:54:12 am
Chelsea and Man Utd are struggling to sell-out their allocation of tickets for the 21 May final as the price of travel and accommodation is putting fans off. (The Independent)

I've just read the above little snippet! shows you where the real fans reside doesn't it !  :f_steam:
Both clubs with more money than sense and neither can sell out  football's top club game !
We take fans to spare, Russia or not, we would have taken enough fans to fill it ourselves let alone the opposing fans ! ;D

Makes me laugh! Chelsea and United both harp on about their support yet they couldn't fill a Champions League Final allocation!

We'd have had the Square in Moscow draped in flags, with piss heads bouncing around singing the Torres song!

I feel sorry for Moscow, having to put up with both showers of pricks! No fans, no atmosphere and certainly no tradition! We know how to do it, and how to do it in style! :D

I just refuse to believe they are having trouble selling their tickets.  Surely not.

If it had been Liverpool not only would Red Square have lived up to it's name but we would have got there by hot air balloon, canoes, dinghy's, bicycle.

To be completely honest as much as the media suck these two sets of fans off in the next 10 days or so, I think all of us Liverpool fans know that we are a breed apart from these useless cocks.

F***ing hell, how dead was it there for a CL final!? Bloody waste of space these supporters are.

Besides, no one mentioned that the stadium's capacity got reduced from 85,000 to 69,000! If it were me personally, i would grab hold of a ticket if it meant losing my left nut! Plastic cu*ts. The worse thing is that here, plastic fans are very common and all support one club, Man Utd. Got few messages from mates hapring on about how they rule England and Europe, little did they know what was coming their way with our history. F***ing shits me up the wall.

Wonder what it would have been like in the squares with both sets of fans.

I take it you believe the nonsense that all football fans in Manchester support City, well good luck to you if you are happy being deluded but please inform me of how come there would be 90% Liverpool fans?...

I totally agree with you that a Man United v Liverpool  final would be great and that is what I was praying for, Liverpool lost the semi this year and United lost the semi last year, one day we will get this real GAME OF GAMES on and that will be a real occasion...

But I still say this year's game was a good game, were any of you actually watching it?.........

Only on tv, like the most of the plastic mancs.
I cannot for the life of me understand, that, for a team who have 75,000 + fans for home matches, cannot sell out, or be over subscribed for tickets to the greatest spectacle a supporter can go to for their beloved team.
I mean, Utd had 9 years to save up for this match, Liverpool supporters (if we'd got to the final) had 360 days. I had an application in for a ticket (and was at Athens), I had my route planned out, and who of been getting home on Sunday.
      Call yourselves supporters ? - My F***ing Arse !!

Is right Tommo, and I never saw a banner, scarf, flag - absolutely nothing !!   They want to have a look back at Isanbul/Athens and see what support really is.  There again, no matter how much they watched our spectacle, they wouldn't learn a thing because real support comes from within the heart, its called love and passion for your club/team  ;)

What are you talking about we had 9 years to save up for the game? Well I didn't have the incredible foresight that you seem to have because I don't actually think that any fans KNEW when we'd reach the final again. I have always known from coming on here that the only true football fans are Liverpool fans, well that's the thing I'm always being told...

When we were in the second division we still got bigger crowds than you, Football fans?....My f***ing arse......

I've applied for tickets before and not got one and then found the tickets on ebay for a vastly inflated price, we get shafted, you get shafted but the difference is that you are a self righteous know all who sees every reason to pour scorn on a football fan because he wasn't in Moscow...

There were 50,000 reds in the crowd and loads more in the streets in Barcelona, so you went to Athens, big deal, that ain't too far but Moscow is a bloody long way, Mancs aren't apparently as affluent as Scousers, I can't believe that but that what I'm thinking after reading your post....

You know as well as I do cantona that what tommo means by the saving up for 9 years is that your last final was 99 so why the f**k were utd fans not milling around after tickets. If Liverpool were playing a final in Baghdad the scousers would be doing there upmost to get there and get a match ticket. Im sure plenty of mancs made a great effort to get to Moscow but to not sell your full allocation is a sin and as was said 75000 every week at home games where were all them when tickets were on sale?

Barcelona, Athens, Moscow, it doesn't matter where the final is being played. If Liverpool had been playing in bloody Timbuctoo then it would of been a sellout and thousands of fans outside as well.  ::)

      What the F**k ???
9 years, yes 9 years, and all I hear about is that is was too expensive to go.
You never thought you'd get to another final - that's a piss poor excuse.
You had NO intention like the rest of your fans of going more like.

So maybe I am a self rightous know all, but not a gob sh*te plastic fan.

And I am? Thank you for this marvellous insight my character, now I have known many scousers in my time and not all of them have the self righteous streak that you seem to pride yourself on, well this plastic fan was going to Old Trafford (every home game as it happens) when we were completely in your shadow...

And by the way many times I have seen many empty seats at Anfield for Champions League games for the early rounds when you're playing some team we've never heard of, in the old European Cup days I often thought I would love to be in that tournament but because I supported an inferior team I didn't have that luxury...

Even now you still see Champions League games at Anfield where there are empty seats, you don't see that at Old Trafford but lest I forget Liverpool fans are the ONLY real football fans, I know this because scousers keep telling me that...

For your information I have been to many away games where we got totally hammered, I was at Birmingham City when they beat us 5-1, I was at Everton when they beat us 5-0. Hell I was at Old Trafford when Forest beat us 4-0 and West Brom beat us 5-3....

We were in Liverpool's shadow for so long but that ended in 1993 but wouldn't you just know it I had a very bad accident a few weeks later so this plastic fan doesn't go anymore but even when we were in the second division we had the biggest crowds, all those other United fans at those games, were they plastic fans like me as well?...

Actually I was in the US for the semis and the pub was full of United fans but they all had United shirts on but then the next day it was full of fans in Liverpool shirts, on both days all of these 'fans' had American accents, what is your definition of a 'plastic fan' anyway seeing as the only real football fans are Liverpool fans?... 8)...

Woopy! You's got hammered! That doesnt mean devotion to your club you ignorant tit. You go to support your team not knowing the outcome but still believing they can win and if they get hammered it doesnt mean you showed true support by being there.

Yeah well it seems to that in the eyes of Liverool fans that the only REAL fans are you lot and by the way calling me an ignorant tit isn't going to have much of  an effect on me because you have already proved to me that you are an idiot who's opinions certainly don't strike me as intelligent...

The point I was making (that seemed to go WAY over your head) was that this so called 'plastic fan' was going long before United got successful so once again, what exactly is your definition of a plastic fan?.,.

And if you didn't realise that that was the point I was making then it doesn't say much for your intelligence does it?...

It strikes me that now that Liverpool are relatively unsuccessful that many of you are falling back on the 'we've got the best fans' position. Well you have some of the worst fans and some of the best fans and so has every other team...

      Put your dummy back in!

Liverpool are not the only real supports. Teams like Newcastle (Albeit impatient), Man City, Besiktas, Havent and Waterlooville all have fantastic support.

As for the empty seats. Pure bollocks. Every CL game always sells out. How do I know this? I can never get a ticket.

Seconded, you can never get a ticket for the CL games, you can just about get a ticket for a qualifier and then its sold out by the time the match is played.
The empty seats are for UEFA safety rules around the edge of the pitch.

It strikes me that now that Liverpool are relatively unsuccessful that many of you are falling back on the 'we've got the best fans' position. Well you have some of the worst fans and some of the best fans and so has every other team...

;D saying every fans are the same - when they obviously aren't - says a lot about your own team's fans... if United had such good fans you would be saying they are the best! :P

When you can't compete on the pitch you think you can on the terraces, to pour scorn on Liverpool's claim to be the BEST fans in the world, even when I am right to do so gets me accused of spitting my dummy out. Liverpool's claim to be the best fans in the world deserves a place alongside the myth that all football fans in Manchester support City, these are both inventions of Scousers who have nothing better to do as they watch United rack up 10 title wins since your last title...

Where was the atmosphere ?, I mean, there was more atmosphere on the moon that night, than in the stadium.

How F***ing true are you!! Well true

At what point in my last post did I say United didn't have good fans?

I know quite a few passionate United fans that go to the games regularly and know more songs than just that Viva Ronaldo song (could do with changing the tune now and again by the way, its getting rather tedious). Sadly they are outweighed by the armchairs and the prawn sandwich brigade.

Well finally we agree, yes it is true that good fans are never specific to any one team and I will readily admit that by and large Liverpool does have a high proportion of good fans but the again that dioesn't ONLY apply to Liverpool fans...

The inevitable? How long is it since you won the league anyway because that might be seen as inevitable...

It was always inevitable that Chelsea wouldn't win the league, things are only inevitable until they're not, I think it's inevitable that Liverpool will win the league one day. But when is the question, anyway I said I'll be sorry when Ronaldo goes because that is inevitable but once again the time of his departure is unclear, I don't think it'll be this year but of course I could be wrong...;)...

Neither could I ordinarily but after reading this thread it is clear that some posters believe that United have absolutely no loyal fans, let me make this clear, not everyone thinks this but some Liverpool fans do...

Thinking that all United fans are bandwagon jumpers is to ignore the magnificent support we had in the seventies when we won the FA Cup once and the second division title once...

      And nothing else.............

I'm sure United do have some loyal support, but I bet that the majority of that 'loyal' support who were with the club through the lean years are now priced out of attending the games and have been replaced by, shall we say, less excitable but more free-spending in the club store 'fans'.

I know this, because I know somewhere else it's happening.

You're absolutely correct of course, I went to every home game (and several away games) when I was younger but I have had discussions with my nephew (a City fan), and he's 18 and lucky if he goes to 2 games a year...

When I was his age it was easy but now real fans are priced out of the game, all so we can afford the likes of Ronaldo...

Yeah, I've no idea about Liverpool's attendances in the past and I won't be paying that much attention now, nah that was in response to slights on United's support, just a natural reflex action, when someone insults me I respond with "yeah, and you're a cissy"...  :lmao:...

I don't think we can hold ourselves up as not havin plazy fans. 16 million new fans we got after the success in Istanbul. Every club has plazy fans and every club has diehard fans. We're no different. If anything, because the size of our club we have more plazy fans than others.

I wouldn't worry about other clubs fans though, if they don't show love for their club then that's not our problem. We should concentrate on Liverpool and Liverpool alone.
