We need to buy a sort of Torres of the wing, in terms of quality. Someone who clearly has bags of skill and potential, just like Fernando, and whilst they won't come cheap, you know they'll improve the team ten times over. James Milner is not one of those players...

I cant believe that we are being linked with this guy. I was dreaming of Quaresma but it looks like im going to get a Milner. I couldn't see Scum, Chavski or Arsenal buying him so why us?? Why do we go for second string players? With all the big names we're linked with and the one that looks most certain is MILNER!

      BBC Gossip page:

Newcastle United are furious with Liverpool after they offered three "nonentities" in part-exchange for winger James Milner. (Evening Chronicle BST 1242)

What i'm scared besiudes the fact we are in for him is:

      A)No bentley?

      B)Outcasts PLUS MONEY

C)A Geordie reject as our starting winger

Come on Raf, get your head out mate.

F**k him off.  Just get Bentley you stingy gets.

Just like the Pennant deal.  Still shopping in the bargain basement.

We dont need another Pennant seeing as we are probably looking to sell the one we already have, Milner does not have what it takes to play for Liverpool

Keegan is holding out on seven million for him.
      Not worth that
He's better than Lionel Richie (pennant) but he's still not good enough for us.
How does he really compare to midfilders from United, Chelsea n Arsenal.
He wouldnt stand a chance gettin in there team so y should he in ours?
We need world class players if we want to compete for the title.
      Simple as ...
any suggestions as to who we should go for?

      Without a shadow like.
      But we do need wingers
I no people are forgetting about Benayoun n Kuyt playing wide, but there's no chance there good enough for us.
How about Quaresma, Silva, Aimar, Joaquim or Maxi Rodriguez??

apparently they want £9million for him

      :lmao: :lmao:

he isnt even worth £4million so they will have agood chance of keeping him unless a team like Villa are willing to get ripped off for him

Quaresma said he has already signed for someone and unless its us then we can rule him out. I would love to see Silva here but if we dont get him then Rodriguez would be a good option. I honestly think Aimar would be a bad move because he is starting to get on a bt and doesnt seem the player he was a valencia. Joaquin would be a gamble bcause he tend to be quite inconsistant but when he is on form then he is world class

I'm with you mate, not a sh!t show in hell. I would expect this to be a nice little smoke screen to pave the way for Silva or someone of the sort.

does every team think we'll be taken for a ride and just up their prices and expect us to pay??? they've probably clocked on that parry is still there and is about as useful as a one legged man at an ass kicking contest so they can take the piss
