Great game, personally thought it would of been one way traffic for the German's to attack and the Turks to hold on but the Turks did them-selves well and played some great football. I guess in the end losing their top three attacking players and their keeper.

Turkey deserved to win, they were the better team by a mile and wanted the victory more than the Germans but they were just unlucky.

Looks like it will be the Spaniards who will have to take care of the germans now ;)

^^ If Spain don't take care of the Germans (if they get through of course) I'll be very surprised.

But playing Russia is certainly not going to be the walk in the park it was when Spain played them in the group stages.

      Can't wait for tonights game!

      TORRES HOPING FOR RUSSIA REPEAT
      Paul Hassall 26 June 2008

Fernando Torres heads into tonight's Euro 2008 semi-final with Russia confident that Spain can repeat their Group D victory over Guus Hiddink's side and progress to the final.
The Reds striker has been impressed by the way the Russians have responded since losing 4-1 against Luis Aragones' men and expects his teammates to come through a tough test and secure a meeting with Germany in the final on Sunday.

"Russia is a team that has proved to be in top form," said Torres.

"But if we beat them once, I am certain we can beat them again."

Torres looks set to once again partner David Villa in attack with Liverpool teammates Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa and Pepe Reina likely to be on the bench.

Hope that torres scores tonight to boost his confidence for the final.

I'd love to see Spain win the competition.

But I like the way Hiddink has got Russia playing.

And if he can keep Russia playing this way, then I think they (and NOT Spain) have the better hope of beating the Germans.  I'd be concerned that Spain don't have the mental belief.  For all their bluster against Italy, they never looked like breaking through.

they have a very poor team.

my favorites too, Ross (Spain).  But I do worry if they'd have the mental edge needed to beat the Germans in the final.  That is why I won't have any problems if the Russians win tonight.

Sergio Ramos is looking really lively, coming up fromthe back really often. May lead to more chances for Russia later in the game.

Torres off again!!!!!!!!!!!! Why? He was causing all sorts of problems for Spain there. I thought with Villa going off injured he would have finally got to the final whistle for his country.

torres was really disappointing tonight. Lets face it, he didnt have a good Euro Cup! if he becomes the hero of the final, then its a whole another story.

Torres was poor again (by his high standards), he did get open and made room for him-self but his finishing/shooting was really off tonight.

Spain were simply a class apart tonight, second half they made a good Russian side look like boys out there. Russia played better the game they lost 4-1 than tonight and I am quite impressed with how both Pyuol and Marchana have been playing.
