Would be great, they would have so much confidence coming into the new season and if we got silva and/or villa would be even better. Im glad to have such a big spanish influence on our team, great country. Wish them all the luck in the world in the final, will feel like watching liverpool in a CL final. Germany 3-0 at half time, spain come back dramatically to make it 3-3 and go to penalties and reina to be the penalty saving hero anyone

Roger Hunt has warned Premier League defenders that the euphoria of a Euro 2008 success with Spain could make Fernando Torres an even deadlier proposition next season.
The Reds legend knows all about the boost a major tournament triumph can give a player, having won the World Cup with England in 1966, and he reckons a Spain victory this evening could see El Nino reach even greater heights next season.
 
"I'm not saying that Torres lacks confidence, but if Spain do win on Sunday it will give him a fantastic boost," said Hunt.
 
"I certainly felt a more confident player when we won the World Cup.
 
"There are certain moments in your career when your confidence gets a real boost; winning your first international cap is one because it gives you the belief that you're good enough to play at that level.
 
"Then winning an international tournament is another. To win the World Cup was something I never really dreamed of.
 
"With the system England played them it was more difficult to play for them than it was for Liverpool, but I did come back feeling more confident about myself."

I know Gerry Byrne,Ian Callaghan and Pete Thompson did not play in the 1966 world cup final but I am sure they were in the squad. I believe Gerry and Cally were recently awarded world cup medals,my memory might be playing tricks but in the back of my mind L.F.C. had another player involved in the 1966 world cup.The thing I remember most was the press pushing for Greavesy to be in the team but Alf Ramsay ignored them and kept selecting Roger Hunt, a wise move as it proved.
