      ---------------------Martin--------------------

      Darby--------Agger----Skrtel---------Insua

      Pennant-----Spearing--Guthrie-----Leto

      --------------Lindfield---Pacheco---------

      -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The thing is the second half will probably new XI so it is tough to say what players will be playing first half or second half but I think a lot of the reserve players will get a run out and if they impress then they will get a shot of going to Switzerland to train with the 1st team and play friendly's over there rather than staying with Gary and the reserve squad.

Don't think Lindfield is playing with the first team this pre season.

Will anyone be watching the game as well as being on here. Wouldn't mind update :)

No, they're from Prenton in the Wirral. Other side of the Mersey river.

Martin, Degan, Agger, Carragher, Dossena, Pennant, Plessis, Spearing/Lucas, Leto/Hammill, Pacheco, Voronin.

I reckon that could be the starting line up. But then I could be totally wrong.

I think its important to get everyone used to rafas formation, so my team is:

                                                                       Martin

      Degan                               Skrtel                                Agger                            Dossena

                                             Plessis                                 Spearing

      Pennant                                             Lucas                                                     Yossi

It's not only us who'll be puttin our new lads out, Tranmere have signed a Gambian international from Walsall, he might be on show.

Out of interest how come people like El Zhar, Bruna etc arent training. I know why some first teamers arent, but how comes these youngsters arent aswell ? anyone know ?

With regard to El Zhar it could be because hes with the national team or was so hs due an extra week or 2 off

Well for what it's worth his profile picture shows him in the new training kit, could mean nothing in the end so I assume he was part of the training team that came in July 2nd.

Could be way off the mark but I just assume he was part of it

I think Rafa will but out a first half 11 and change the team completely for the 2nd half. Id imagine Degen and Dossena will start Voronin will probably start up top with nemeth with the likes of Pacheco getting a run in the 2nd half

      Ist half
      Martin
      Degen
      Sami
      Agger
      Insua
      Pennant
      Spearing
      Plessis
      Flynn
      Nemeth
      Voronin

      2nd half

      Gulasci
      Darby
      San Jose
      Skrtel
      Dossena
      Putterill
      Yossi
      Stevie G
      Aurelio (if fit)
      Pacheco
      Lindfield

hang on a minute lad, did Martin Skrtel look good against Havant and Waterlooville? So to say something along the lines of "oh it's tranmere, anyone can look good" just remember those first teamers who've performed sh*t against sides in lesser divisions than Tranmere.

I don't recall saying that at all mate I was mealy asking a question, yeah I agree Skrtel did look a bit off par in his first few games but he soon turned that around!

yeah he did, that's the point, he (skrtel) looked bad against a side four maybe five divisions below Tranmere. So if for example Voronin, scores a hattrick and sets up another four on Satday, please don't come out with "it's only tranmere". Not just you, but anybody. You can only beat what's put in front of you. That's my biggest arguement when "experts" belittle Crouch's record for England and the sides he scored against.

At the end of the day a win is a win. So if Voronin is man of the match he deserves the credit just as much as if it was Gerrard/Mascherano/Torres/Reina or Bob the f***in builder.

Too bloody right and Voronin did put in some really good performances against Crewe and Bremen last season.
