I've just read that Salif Diao's move to spain has collapsed because he couldn't agree personal terms! For F**k sake we wasn't even asking for any money for this pr**k, we just wanted shut. But as it seems Ged give him mega money when he signed, Diao is happier to sit in the reserves and get his big bucks than move and play 1st team football!

      What a tw*t!

Sadly Diao has never played in his natural holding midfield position (played RB and CB most of the time as far as i know), however i believe he is vilified because of our ex manager, and the stupid deal he was given by him, you can't blame him for wanting a decent deal, however he should be gone either in January or when his deal expires next summer

Comming from just down the road from Stoke, lots of my friends follow the "Potters".   Their take on Salif is that he has changed their whole season, holding the ball, passing, winning everything etc.  he has got a game and needs to play on a regular basis to show it.  Obviously good enough for the Championship but I don't think he can cope in a top side.  I wish him well and it helps me no end with my mates having a red pulling the strings!

Need a good result this weekend and I think we will get it.

Going to a British Legion do tonight, Jan Molby is the speaker so looking forward to it, let you know how it goes.

Excellent. Yeah let us know what Jan had to say.  I've got a lot of time for the bloke - he tends to say it how it is on the phone-ins after the game.  Tells it straight whether or not a player has the potential to make it Anfield and is 9 times out of 10 spot on.

      What a great night!!

Jan was excellent, went through his footballing career, then did some questions & answers, as you say, really told it like it is, didn't beat about the bush, gave his opinion on then & now & got a standing ovation when he finished. He cant understand why Agger isn't playing more (but did say he is a little biased) still thinks we need some more quality but likes what the manager is doing.  Didn't have much of a soft spot for Souness, gave his reasons why he got rid of Peter Beardsley and lots, lots more..    great night, can't remember much more at the mo, drank 1 more shandy than was good for me.  (also had about 4 ton of shell fish, salmon and chicken legs!?!

Stood on the first tee this morning at 8am feeling a little
fragile to say the least.  anyway, all the best and Come on you reds!!

Still feeling a bit sheepish but a Kuyt double has cheered me up no end!!

7th & rising, im doing some work at Man city this week, I wonder if they have a spare seat or maybe I could stow away.

What did we pay for him?   Stoke would have trouble paying 100,000 but they really can't get enough of him.  the talk is he's the best "yes the best" midfielder in the Championship!!

At least we've let him play for Stoke in the F.A. cup tomorrow, so he won't be anywhere near the final in March. >:D >:D >:D

      Latest update....from the Press Association

Midfielder Salif Diao has left the door open for a return to Stoke as he prepares to go back to Liverpool.

The Senegal international has impressed in his loan spell at the Britannia Stadium, which comes to an end with the home clash against Wolves.

He will then return to Anfield for discussions with the Reds hierarchy but admits there is also interest from clubs in France and Spain.

"I cannot say if it's my last game," Diao told the Sentinel. "Let's hope not, but I am not in control of the situation. I have to go back to Liverpool and talk to them.

"It seems like they have offers from clubs in France and Spain, but I just have to concentrate on my final game, then sit down with Liverpool.

"The gaffer (Tony Pulis) is working very hard to bring in more players and keep the players we have had for the first part of the season."

      Sad news.

Salif Diao is no longer a Liverpool player.  He has completed a free transfer from Liverpool to Stoke (the side he has been on loan with since early on this season).

Good luck in whatever sport you decide to focus on in the future Salif.!

Lets draw a line under one of the sorryest deals in our clubs history. The lad cost us £5m but his wages have cost us alot more than that! We're coming to a point where we are slowly getting rid of all the dead wood at are club. These lads who Ged brought in on mega money deals are now coming to a point where they are nearly all gone. This will free up money to bring in Lads who want to play for us.
So JD please lock this one and we can get on with the job of following the most successful team in England  ;)
