What a result! More or less what I had predicted, except they scored!
Only kidding, I thought we'd be able to turn the match around as we had been dangerous throughout, but I didn't expect Carragher to score!
Who did? It really showed the heart and spirit of the man, in the right position and made the right choice to shoot, and it was a cracker too. Would have been saved I think, but was it Babel's bottom that got the final touch?
And Gerrard stepped up too, made the difference when it counted at the death, reminded me of the way he scored the winner against Derby last season, just when we'd all lost hope. He really is Captain Fantastic!
The only let down today for me was Alonso's performance. Did he stop moaning once during the 90 minutes? Appealing for every decision instead of playing to the whistle, lots of missed passes, and he should have stopped taking the corners after his first attempt! Always knee height at the front post, meat and drink for the defence.
Anyway, at least we didn't lose, and not another flipping draw either, we need to continue the good results, even if the performance isn't there yet! Sign of Champions that kind of win!
