      Bringing cameras into Anfield
      Aug 25, 2008 04:24:57 pm
(if this is in the wrong place i am sorry, please just delete it if so)

I have never taken my big digital camera into the ground before. It says on the clubs website that you shouldnt take any digital device but i was wondering how strict this is implemented, cause i see flashes all over the ground like.

Fellow reds, anyone taken a SLR or big camera in the ground before? Has anyone had it taken off them or told to put it away?

I just wanted to check before wednesday. Sorry if this is a boring post, i dont want to piss anyone off but id really appreciate peoples responses

      Thanks

      Peter

A pet hate of mine to be honest. If your snapping away or working on angles for your next picture how can you be giving 100% to supporting the lads which at the end of the day is what were all meant to be there for!! Get there early and get pics at the players entrance or wait after the game to get them.

I have seen many taking photo with cameras, and with there phones.

Just not sure you would get away with it, with a big camera.

      Enjoy the game on Wed.

Fair play. I don't have much time for people sitting there the whole game taking pictures but I appreciate where you're sitting and the opportunity it bestows.  Reckon you would struggle getting an SLR in.

Mind you, if you had a flask you could put in I reckon it would be plain sailing. ;)

Good luck - let us know.

Take your Camera along you'll be fine as long as its not some big massive one.

As long as you can put it in your pocket you'll be fine.

The first time my dad went o Anfield, we were playing Charlton. He carried his camera in his hand and a police man asked him if he was press and he said yes and so the police man escorted him through a side door and he sat just infront of the Kop and took loads of amazing pictures. This was about 3 years ago. I dont think it would happen now cause they've got all the security measures to go through and you need a press pass

I was going to say the same thing  ::) ...get someone to make you a fake press pass, get in with your big camera , take all the shots you want, then with the money saved from buying the ticket...donate it to either the HJC Fund, The LFCReds fund to JD for the up keep of the Forum or to the SSF (Smiggers Stella Fund)  ;D

i was sat behind a bloke with a huge camera for the west ham home game last season, did my nut in. every two mins blocking my view. No problems with small digital cameras but large old style cameras, it's a no no from me.

Nice try Randy, but opening up a 9 year old thread to peddle your wares, does not wash.
