How's the weather?

It has now........

Absolutely stunning storm last night and the rain wasn't drops, it was sheets.

Was at Centre Parcs in Nottingham yesterday with my 3yr old granddaughter.  Never been before and had been told by literally everybody that it doesn't matter what the weathers like, it's all undercover......NOT!!

We arrived just as a thunder storm started, wandering round trying to find the rest of the family, like fu**ing drenched zombies trying to make sense of all the information boards which told you jack s**t. 

Had just about dried out by the time we were ready to leave and oh yes, the fu**ing heavens opened again.  We were as far from the centre as you could get and then as far again to the car.  The roads were gushing like rivers, mud, stones, water, all in the middle of the forest with thunder and lightening crashing about our heads.

My shoes are pegged on the line still trying to get them dry, my purse and handbag still wet through.

Wow, loudest clap of thunder I've ever heard  , was hoping it was the transfer window slamming shut. Here comes the rain.........

A lovely 25 in Crete and its only 5am but being British i'm sure i will be complaining about it being too hot soon

The worst of it is down south Katica, it's a bit breezy in the north and Liverpool but hopefully we'll get away with it, very sad about those people who lost their lives - one was a 17 year old girl I heard when a tree fell on her, tragic.
 
Edit: Four dead now just heard the news.

It cleared up for my Trek to work, after tipping it down most the morning, then the heavens opened as soon as I stepped through the front door to work.  The winds were high though, almost got blown into the road as I crossed a bridge over the M5.

I was seriously worried about driving home from Liverpool today, there were warning signs of High Winds when I drove up on Saturday so was dreading coming back, it was scary at times and the rain was torrential in parts, I was glad to get home.

Bloody hell that's cold mate. It's a nice balmy 10C here... about 50f. We get our coldest weather usually Jan/Feb not sure if it's the same for you? I think you get both extremes in N.York though cold winters and boiling hot summers?
