      The'Employment Wanted' Thread of hopefulness.
      Sep 26, 2011 10:24:37 pm

For reasons beyond my control I've recently had to reassess my future employment choices and I've decided to go with a thought I've had for a while and a long term view to starting my own business as a plasterer. To this end I'm currently doing a plastering course at college (night) but I was wondering if anyone knows of a plasterer/general builder who needs a labourer so I can get some hands on experience.

I'm based in Wigan but anywhere in Liverpool or surrounding areas shouldn't be a problem as I have transport.

I won't bother putting my CV up here as if anyone's interested I'll be glad to meet up for a wee chat and I can tell them my background. If you know anyone knows a potential employer I'd be very grateful if you could ask them and if they want me to I'll phone them. PM's will be gladly accepted.

The winning referrer will be treated to a visit to Anfield to watch a match on receipt of one of my first pay packets.  ;D

      Thanks for looking!  ;)

Try fit out uk mate, http://www.fitoutuk.com/ , they are based in London but work on Asda's, Tesco's, Sainsburys, Ikea's all around the country, they worked alongside me on various contracts at the White Rose Centre Leeds, Sainsburys, the New Asda at Rawtenstall, The Ikea at Warrington, The Ikea in Nottingham, The New Asda at Fleetwood, The new Asda at LLandudno, so on ans so forth, they are a good company to work for too according to the majority of their lads.

They may have an ongoing 6 month job on locally, you never know worth a try.

Thanks :) It's more a bribe than a prize, an incentive if you will. ;)

Cheers RacerMan, as part of my travels I helped out the Irish economy for a couple of years and if I came back over to work on a farm for nothing I'd be pumping more into the economy behind numerous bars that I can ill afford.

Thanks for your kind offer though. ;)

Hi Exiled my sons a plasterer, works for Winstanleys based around mawdesley but all over the country.  They have some work coming up and need labourers as he's already lined some work up for my other half.

I'll pm you the number when I get it off my son tonight/tomorrow.

I'm pleased you mentioned this mate, lost contact with a good friend from fit out uk a few years ago when I lost my mobile, so I phoned them today he's no longer working for them, he's gone self employed but they put me in touch with one of the lads that had his number.

Life throws us these coincidences at times mate, I hope it's a good un for ya Daz, a few times in my past little nuggets of gold like that have fell in front of me and hopefully it's a bit of karma. ;)
