Lampard couldn't play out on the left even if he tried.

Not as versatile as Mr Gerrard!

As for the Gerrard and Lampard debate, there's a simple solution to accomodate everyone:

      For me, the solution is:

Any goalie - they're all as bad as each other

      Johnson    Ferdinand    Terry    Cole

                 Barry/Carrick/Hargreaves
      Walcott/                                 Cole/
      SWP                                      Young
                           Gerrard

                    Rooney       Heskey/
                                     Crouch

I know Terry isn't fit, but that would be my preferred starting 11.  If only an England manager had the balls to drop FWank Lumpoflard...

Heads up tonight England vs Wales u-21 is tonight. England are up 3-2 and the winner will be going to play in the UEFA U-21 final so it should be a good game with a lot of young talented players from both sides.

Same I got rid of my e-season ticket.....just wasn't worth it just to watch dozen reserve games. Also the score is 2-2 and England is down to 10 men with Huddlestone getting sent off. Very good game.

      I'd go with

                           James

      Johnson    Ferdinand    Terry    Cole

                            Barry
      Walcott/                                 Cole/
      SWP                                      Young
                           Gerrard

                    Rooney       Heskey/
                                     Crouch

I don't know why people rate that Lampard :S he's not world class material, then again, only Gerrard is like word class haha
      - though David Beckham's crosses are really something, he just don't have the pace or abilities for me to be an England winger, especially at his age now

NOT ANOTHER ONE, this is really getting annoying. So that's Babel, Torres and now Keane.

2041: It is half-time at Croke Park and there are now worries over Robbie Keane, who has apparently been taken off at the break after going down under a heavy challenge. Again, we'll bring you more on that when we get it. - BBC Live Text

Gunner Fabregas gets Spanish chance after Torres injury scare
      http://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/football/Gunner-Fabregas-gets-Spanish-chance.4596368.jp
Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas was thrown into early World Cup action for Spain after striker Fernando Torres lasted less than 16 minutes of the World Cup qualifier against Belgium.
Spanish media are reporting it was a precautionary substitutioon as the Liverpool striker had felt a tweak in the muscle in the back of his left leg.

Liverpool will be hoping it is not serious problem as they face Wigan and Chelsea in the Premier League next week, as well as a Champions League trip to Torres' former club Atletico Madrid.

Torres started the match well enough, firing in a 35-yard shot inside the opening two minutes that Belgium goalkeeper Stijn Stijnen needed to push away, but he was replaced not long after with the European Champions trailing 1-0 in Brussels.

If this true it not that serious, fingers crossed.

      INJURY WORRIES FOR REDS
      Steve Hunter 15 October 2008 from lfc.tv
Fernando Torres and Ryan Babel were both forced to leave the field early with injuries during World Cup qualifying matches for Spain and Holland respectively.
The Reds number nine was substituted after 17 minutes during Spain's Group Five encounter in Belgium after apparently feeling a slight twinge, while Babel left the field after 29 minutes during Holland's 1-0 win in Norway.

There is no further news as yet as to the extent of the injuries so stay tuned to Liverpoolfc.tv for further updates.
