I don’t think or see the need for too much upheaval and especially not the forward line which until the end of the season performed well

A lot imo are making a lot of judgements based on the last 4 weeks where the form dropped

There is a lot of talent there to work with

I'm not sure it's just based on last four months but maybe it is who knows.

For me it happily let Diaz go and get a forward who can play right side and CF.

Nunez and Gakpo for the left, and also can play through the middle.

Jota likewise. Were very limited on the right in my opinion.

I think many, myself included, feel we should move at least one on and freshen it up.

      That's where the talk is.

Whether it happens is difficult to judge.

Let’s not forget if what we read is true he was your third choice.   :f_whistle:

Thing is numb nuts, you’re board or whoever it is that recruits yer staff obviously hadn’t done their due diligence on Ten fags, and nor had they even considered Arne, tbh, I don’t know if they did or not ?, but the upshot is, Ten Fags is most definitely out of his depth,
We of course are yet to find out indeed if Arne will be out of his depth or not, but I’m betting that our recruiters HAVE done their due diligence and have indeed gotten the right man to take us forward, whereas Tan fags has taken you f***in backwards,

How many boxes did Ten fags tick to become your out of depth manager, then compare the boxes ticked for Arne to take the reins from Jürgen, no brainier I would imagine, the point I’m making I’m sure you’re getting, is the Ten Fags appointment looks like desperation, but Arne’s appointment looks well thought out so here’s another wager for the forthcoming season, £50 says we finish above your lot , a Double Dutch challenge if you want, it’s a fair offer, considering this will be Arne’s first season and if Eric is still at the wheel he’ll have 3 years more experience, and if he gets bagged the bet is still on !!

What you say Numb Nuts ??

It was around 1998 and I was mates with a fella (lets called him Dave) who held the account for supplying the players with Nicholas Deakin shoes. So, he asked if we fancied all expenses paid trip to Anfield to watch us play Nottingham Forrest. This is how the day panned out...

Morning... a car was sent to pick us up. No kidding, some fancy people carrier thing with a driver!
We arrived at Anfield, got dropped off near the VIP/Players entrance and there was quite a crowd. He held a badge up and some chaps came and parted the fans so we could walk straight through. Wow.
Now Dave was going to a VIP sponsor box thingy but he'd got us tickets for the Main stand so that's where we sat.
we dismantled Forrest 5-1 with Owen scoring 4 times!

so, after the match we met Dave and he asked if we fancied a quick pint before setting off, took us down a few corridors and into the Carlsberg Lounge which turned out to be where the players headed once they were washed and changed. Free Carlsberg on tap, food and best of all the players!

So for the next hour we stood with Owen, McManaman, Patrick Berger etc and more noticeably Jamie Redknapp stood with us (and his bint Louise Nurding or whatever she was called), turns out Jamie was Dave's best customer and a friend too.

We met some other players and a bloke from Brookside (Mick I think he played) oh and Craig Charles was in there too.

We got driven back home and that was that.

Thank god the people carrier thing had a driver.  :lmao:

Seems to be a lot of people talking about wide players or forwards arriving

We currently have 5 in the first team

      Mo
      Diaz
      Nunez
      Jota
      Gakpo

Then you add in the likes of Doak , Danns and other young lads

I can’t see any forward arriving unless one of those 5 leaves

I think many, myself included, feel we should move at least one on and freshen it up.

Worse position they will finish next year is 2nd...
That's the thing about the future..no one knows, they could win it.....or as I suspect they'll drop down to 4th/5th.
Arsenal rode their luck this season, and Chelsea, Spurs and Utd all will improve and challenge for top 4.

Think Jones will be cut from that squad before the tournament anyway. He's just there to get some experience around the main squad as he might be part of their plans after the Euros if he finds form again.

Not sure mate. I think Southgate is almost certain to play 4-2-3-1 with 2 defensive midfielders to protect his back 4. I think Curtis is ahead of Wharton and probably Mainoo to get into the final squad. Southgate will probably want to take at least 4 CMs. He's quite conservative and Curtis is 1 of the most experienced CM in that squad.

Another season with nothing to show for it. Arteta not even as successful as Ten Hag, even though he's been in charge twice as long...They'll drop back next season....you heard it here first!
