      400m spent.

      6th and trophyless.

It's a failure whichever way you dress it up and managers get sacked all over Europe for a lot less, whether he had a brilliant last month or 2 of the season or not.

Chelsea appear to create their own problems, sack their managers regardless, of where they finish. It seems their owners are clueless about football.

Nonsense: There isn't even an agreed upon definition of a "Mistake"........ Would you say that Odegaard's handball at Anfield was deliberate? and therefore that decision was a mistake....of course you would...but the Arsenal fans don't think it was a mistake...and the officials didn't think it was a mistake.(and in truth only the player himself knows if it was deliberate)
So how is it possible to generate a league of mistakes?....You can't.

Sure you can. That's literally the point of VAR, to correct mistakes. Whether deliberate or not, it was a handball. And Arsenal fans not believing it's a mistake doesn't make it so. The Doku kung fu kick to Mac's chest was also a mistake. But do you think City fans believe it was? Most if not all of them think it wasn't wrong to allow it. Upon review it's blatantly obvious that it was a missed call.

Not sure I’d be bragging about that if I was Lijinders.

Don’t think the inverted full back has worked out for us and Trent’s best performances have all come when he’s stayed out wide and played more like a proper RB.

Yes our Pep seemed like to talk quite a bit :)

Suspect Forrest will go instead of doak. But this will be a good experience for him.

Is it a straight choice between those two? Nobody else who might not get to go?

If he moves to midfield has to be as either an attacking 8 or wide right in 4 2 3 1.

I agree on playing him DM he's not suitable for that. I do even agree with a lot of the talk of his defensive lapses at RB. For me I still think he can make a great RB but in th right system and possibly Slots double pivot provides the solidity Jurgens attacking 4 3 3 didn't always do?

      All fair points Si

We've seen some games where Trent has had top drawer wingers in his back pocket, so he can defend but he doesn't do it consistently. And we've seen him be one of the finest right backs we've ever had when he's had players in front of him who will work their bollocks off to cover the spaces he leaves.

Over the years though, he's gone from a kid trying to establish himself in the team to becoming a guaranteed starter no matter what. Now, and this may change with Slot taking over, is the first time he's had some real competition for his place in the side with the emergence of Conor Bradley. Competition for places is always a good thing because it forces players to improve if they want to keep their place.

If we can keep Trent and Conor fit at the same time next season, I think there's a good chance that we'll see Trent as good as he's ever been.

Summer 2024 LFC Transfer Board / Re: Attacking options next season

It's 2024 yet you're bringing up events spanning over the last 2 decades and making it out like it's a new found 'realization'? Maybe it's just me not comprehending what you're saying but that sounds very strange and someone who wants to dig up the past and smudge it all over the present.

Hey guys I've just realised something quite telling. Endo Mac Allister and Szobo are in fact not Masch Xabi and Stevie.....I miss them so much that I wouldn't care if any of these 3 were sold.

Sorry but it seems you are reading too much into what I said.

Basically, I just don't think any of our strikers are irreplaceable right now. That's all. They can all be improved on.

(and yes, I'm well aware that in reality, no player is irreplaceable, but as fans, we sometimes feel like they are)

I think it’s telling that you didn’t include Firmino on that list.

Not necessarily. I was disappointed to see Bobby leave, but it felt as the right time for him to go explore something new.
