Same thing from RM feels like every F***ing year. Play sh*t, keeper keeps you in it, score, win.

And not just in the final, all through the tournament. They robbed City and Bayern as well. Ridiculous how many times they've won the CL with smash and grab performances.

Obviously having 4 or 5 world class players helps. You can get away with a lot. But it is a bit depressing. Knew it was going to happen as well. Every chance Dortmund missed just cranked up the sense of inevitability. Really would like to see somebody tear them a new one in a final, burst their entitled balloon.

Can't stand real Madrid and so to see them do to Dortmund what they did to us is quite deflating. Things just seem to go their way when they need it. I don't think it's part of a masterplan, more just experience and luck. Outplayed for most of the game but still pick up the trophy. One doesn't usually flow so often from the other but for Madrid it does.
Last two finals, Courtois can stretch about 15 feet which helps.

Our team of 2019. 2021 beats these two easily

This is possibly true. Although our 2007 team was arguably better than our 2005 team.

If Liverpool ever play Madrid in a final again, Klopp can't watch!

It has always...and will always be about putting the ball in the net. Dortmund had their chances, and if you don't take them then you you can't complain about the result. Madrid were sh*te but as is often the case........ lucky.

They are the most clinical time in world football over the last decade.

Whereas we (and other teams) screw up 4 or even 5 on 1 situations, they seem to always score from the fewest chances possible.

It's remarkable how football has become so boring. Don't think the game has been in a more dire position.

Financial heft wins out in the biggest competitions, institutionalized corruption, World Cups being held in vacuous oil hell holes, state owned football clubs, Rio Ferdinand doing punditry...

It really is a sh*t show. Here's to another vintage season of club football.

Aye pretty dull stuff. I enjoyed our league Cup win more than I normally would knowing in today's landscape even winning that is difficult.
