The whole inverted fullback stuff definitely doesn’t help our wide players create/get into the game. I definitely agree with that. Also think Diaz was affected by it when Gomez was played at LB.

We were at our very best when our fullbacks were overlapping down the outside which allowed the forwards to drift inside more closer to the #9 and connect. Miss those give and goes we played, flowed oh so naturally.

Think thiago at his best gets in ahead of all 3 midfielders, and I'm right

He'd probably split his anus trying to push Gini out the side.

I just realized something quite telling, and it's not positive.

Right now, there is not a single one of our attacking players I would keep at all cost.

I would be open to selling every one of them if a good offer comes in (obviously, not everybody at the same time). A few years ago, it would have been inconceivable with Mané, Bobby and prime Salah.

Which part is the realization? Because all that other stuff about what you 'would do', none of that is telling.

It was inconceivable to think about selling any of the guys who formed the best front 3 in our history? Well now that truly is groundbreaking stuff.

      Can’t see past Lall’s X1,

Alisson, Trent, Matip, Virgil, Robbo, Fabinho, Gini, Hendo, Bobby, Mane, Salah,

……with extra special mention to Jimmy Milner who’s contribution cannot be understated, it’s unbelievable what that fella put in shift after shift in numerous positions, at a age where he outshone some of his peers half his age, incredible player and he’s still at it at Brighton!!

It’s hard to argue that this was Jürgen’s finest team, solid defensively, strong powerful midfield, & devastating attacking player’s, the balance was perfection, pace, tempo, the ultimate in gegenpress with every player attuned with each other, 60-70 yard cross field passes, the intricacies of Bobby Firmino with his flips and tricks, Sadio Mane with his pace and killer instinct left, Salah with his magical feet and goal scoring phenomenon, right,

At the back Alisson Becker, the Worlds best keeper, Trent AA, the ultimate attacking full back with wizard passing ability,  and dead ball specialist, Andy Robertson a £8m flop turned sensational attacking left back who makes the Duracell bunny look like a Cnut and sandwiched in between Joel Matip a free signing solid defender who’s foray’s up the pitch were reminiscent of a certain Jocky Hansen, and of course our current captain fantastic and the worlds best CB Virgil Van Djik,

In front of them Fabinho, who for me was the best DM in the league, and the engine room of Gini Wijnaldom & Captain Jordan Henderson who covered every blade of grass on our hallowed turf, ….

It’s no coincidence we haven’t been the same team since Gini & Mane went, we simply didn’t replace their quality, but that team, and what a team Conquered all of Europe, as well as the EPL, some will argue it’s up there as the best ever, but that’s a different debate altogether !!
