I'd count four of those as '80's players anyway, Huyton, as they made their debut in the '80's.
I suppose Barnes could count for the '90's, but Molby, Nicol and Rush are certainly '80's lads for me.
Maybe but they still played on into the 90s, without Molby we would not have got past Ipswich in the FA Cup replay in 92, the same goes for Barnes and Rushy in the Newcastle game of 96, their neat little one-twos led to stan's winner.
Forgot all about Rob Jones as well, would of been a virtual regular 1st team player for us and England right-back if it wasn't for those shin-splints. What a debut he had!
And as for Owen, everyone in Liverpool from about 96 onwards knew he was going to be special, especially with his pace and those goals against Newcastle in 98 were absolutely sublime.
As I said further back in the thread it is all about opinions, me I'd have Markus Babbel in there as well, even though he only really played a season for us, what a season he had!!
