Im looking to emigrate, need info and opinions

Hi Rob pushing 44 need to get your skates on then mate HA.I migrated to Oz back in 1988 with the wife (now decvorced)& 3 kids 13,11 &11mths.Was there for 1 1/2 years and loved it to bits.Unfortunately the missus got so home sick we were forced to return.The Aussie's are so easy to get on with & you get loads of banter all the time.The weather,the social life beaches,open spaces.There is just so much to love about it.So if your serious about it GO FOR IT.Life is like a train.you either climb aboard or you miss it.

thanks joey, homesickness is a bummer, but in reality, there is not much here for us anymore, my parents carked it, most of hers and my sisters are like the witches of eastwick ,my uncle bunked the boat there in the 50's (would you believe it), he came back to liverpool and always said it was the worst thing he ever did, ended up an alkie,now where is that train ticket.

As we continue our assistance, can any Aussies on here suggest some parts of Australia where it's nigh on impossible to get the internet?

Ummm, was only 2 1/2 hours west of Brisbane, had to wait for 9 months for them to lay the cables to the exchange to enable me to get ADSL, (and the old speed also)

Maybe you should talk to Ayrton because he moved to France.

Im moving to France in the next year or so too but im only 18 and didn't pay any attention to how it was done.

Could talk to my dad for you though, he moved over to England from Malta and now moved back again.

As for Malta I can speak. I won't emigrate to Malta 'cos we have one of the most unemployment rate & the tax are high too & the building is getting higher a lot. Pos: almost everyone speaks English, it has 9 month of warm or hot days, you can watch UK footy with out a problem, ( & we are in EU (that may help)) Goodluck

Britain is going down the toilet, and its also cold most of the time
so ive been looking into leaving and going somewhere else of late
I know we have a lot of international users here, so I ask you all for Advise

where is the best country to live, I should have a degree soon so that will probably help

My uncle lives in New Zeland but the working tax and poor wages dont attract me there.

Can anybody help with advise and info on your own country for working and living in.

Its cold for about 6 weeks, Dec-February. The rest of the year the average temp is 75-90 degrees. Unbelievable Women. Plus you have the "FADO Pub" which shows all EPL and SPL matches,FA and Champions League.  I lived in New Jersey for 20 Plus Years.. I moved down here in 02'..I'll never go back..Love this town.

Are there any places in the States where it is difficult to get the internet?

USA is a great option, think its hard for anybody to get in, unless your mexican then they just kick the fence in.

Atlanta is 3 hours from the Beach and 6 hours from Florida. I dont know about Imigration policies but I would think that College Educated,British citizens could get work visas and possible citizenship. 

Regarding Internet, I dont really know any places w/out it. Unless you go into the mountains out west. As long as you live in a metro area or suburbs of a big city then you can get Internet.

The Mexican border is "hardcore" right now. A lot of Mexican drug cartels at war in the border towns and their have been actual firefights between drug lords and US Border Patrol.
