Robbie, you had many chances and its your fault. Admit it and get over it. Your just a average player who cant handle the pressure to play at a big club.

I think that maybe with hindsight he should have come into the dressing room with a bit more humilty. I think he thought he was on equal billing with Stevie and Carra. Would of liked him to play more but lets face it he just didnt fit in.

"I'm now at a fantastic club with a fantastic manager who respects his players and if you're doing well will tell you you're doing well," he said.

He is talking about a "fantastic manager" and mentions "who respects his players" & "you're doing well will tell you you're doing well"

      there are 3 digs there

And he must be having a great time fighting a relegation battle, watching Liverpool thrash Real Madrid and Manchester United on tv. I mean, that Rafa really doesn't know how to get the best out of players, does he?

I'm sure i've read this article before, Perhaps in another life, I think It came out a few weeks after Robbie left us, still I may be wrong.

When I read it , Robbie comes across as someone whose been told he's won the lottery only to find out his partner who put it on has done a disappearing act.

Never mind Robbie if they keep throwing money at Redknapp he may surprise us all and finish in the top four.................... ..

Agree.  He's gone.  He wasn't a Liverpool legend.  His attitude since leaving prove he was never going to be a Liverpool legend.

Best rid, and we didn't take too much of a financial hit on him either - which at his age - we could have done.

What I don't understand about the whole Keane thing is that apparently before Keane came to liverpool he was already great friends with Carra and Gerrard.
Now surely they would have told him exactly what Rafa is like in that he doesn't kiss the ass of every player and tell them how fantastically wonderful they are like Harry Redknapp for example.
I think Keane knew exactly how it would be when he came to Liverpool. He hardly expected Rafa to change his ways just for one player.Keane had his one chance at a really big club and he bottled it big time IMO.

Robbie Keane was brought in to play behind Torres and nobody does it better than Gerrard. Anybody else and he would have been a shoe in to start alongside Torres.

      Moving along!

The fact he left us after what? 4-5 months? shows his commitment to the club - or lack of. If he cared he would of stayed, fought for a place, and who knows might have settled fully by now. Instead he obviously pushed for a transfer back to the easy life of Tottenham.

It also seemed clear to me that he wanted to be appreciated by Rafa. Well done Robbie, Hard Luck Robbie, have a sweet Robbie, surely players don't need such patronising words of comfort to feel appreciated!! Obviouly Keane did, not the best number 7 we've ever had...

      Well in. Tickled me that.

I'm sure he's happy back down at Spurs where you're never more than 6 feet away from Harry Redknapp willing to give you oral pleasure after a game.

Robbie Keane will go down in history as a player who did not make the grade at Anfield,he cannot blame anyone but himself and it is all down to not having enough bottle to fight for a place in the team.

My final say on this but Keane rekons he is now at a fantastic club with a manager who respects his players... was it respect when he said his mother (I think thats who it was) could of scored a chance that Darren Bent missed. That must have give Bent a real lift.
