Was just wondering why this hadn't be mentioned.

Anyway, on the face of it - maybe Ipswich are a bigger club than Sunderland? I mean - they have actually won stuff.

I'm not too sure of why Keane left Sunderland even now but I'd imagine with Wolves up then Ipswich are one of the 'on paper' sides who have a lot of potential.  I think Keane will be praying Sunderland go down so he can grab some of his old players.  If Sunderland don't go down I doubt he will make an impact.

If Ipswich do make it up maybe their board will have the sense to then sack him and give the job to someone who can handle the pressure.

JD,Keane left because there was new owners and there was a difference of opinion.

I think he'll get them promoted next season. He didn't crack I think he was  just fed up of players turning up late for training and not giving their all.

He doesn't mind the mistakes as long as give their all.

Think he would be a good manager if he has a good relationship with the board. Hate him though..... one thing  I have to respect him for..... the attack on the prawn sandwich eaters ;D.

Keane is a knacker, plain and simple. Ipswich will find out, to their cost, that all Roy Keane cares about is Roy Keane.

Disastrous appointment. A wave of optimism and the owners money may get them promotion. They will then find as Sunderland did that he is a thug with nothing else to offer by way of management skills.

Well, one thought I have concerning Roy Keane...as far as I can tell he left Sunderland because he didn't like the way things were going at board level after some changes were made. Not saying that is good, bad or indifferent but I would just point out that one of the greatest club managers in history had more than one episode of leaving a club under a cloud due to issues with the board.

Of course I am referring to Mr. Shankly so perhaps the "haters" will at least allow Keano a bit of rope on that particular issue.
