How close are Footy Manager stats to the real thing

I play 09 but I've played 07 aswell.

I think 07 didn't involve tactics much but I reckon to some extent tactics do come into play in 09 I have seen differences in results depending on your tactics quite a bit although having said that you dont do much to change tactics only formation, tempo, and attacking/counter attacking really.

There was once I bought this lad, 16 years old, Dribbling 20 Finishing 20, it was complete bollocks. And Torres finishing is like, 16?

I don't know how can they conclude that a player who is in his teens as 20 for both dribbling and finishing, and a player like Torres not even having a single 20s.

That's one unrealism.

And whenever I start a new game I see a tweak in the player's stats, for example Torres stats going up or down by a couple. And I remember in my previous game I had one guy with finishing 20, think it was Bojan, and then in the following game it was 11.

Came to a conclusion that FM stats are randomly generated, I suppose its a good scouting tool but certainly not good in terms of stats. The big four team stats are always rated that highly, and the other 16 teams in the EPL have just good enough stats really. Big difference.

Was the 16 year old a real or simulated player?

Real player, I can't quite remember the name.. But I know that Chelsea have scouted the lad in real life.

Theres a surprise anyone linked with them and the mancs are ridiculously overrated.
