European ticket allocation for Liverpool Football Club away matches.
Since the group stages, upto and including the Chelsea Semi Final at Stamford Bridge, Liverpool have been awarded just 9,545 tickets for supporters.
This is broken down to :-
Barcalona 4,817 tickets capacity approx 98,600
PSV 1,625 tickets capacity approx 35,000
Chelsea 3,103 tickets capacity approx 42,055
Just wondering if anybody knows if there is a minimum amount they have to allocate for a European fixture, ie FA Cup matches have to allocate 10% of the capacity to the away fans.
Realistly, the above figures are a complete joke and insult to Liverpool, especially when Liverpool offer approx the 10% of the capacity to the visitors.
Look at the allocation for a European 1/4 final 1,625, and the semi final 3,103. These figures relate to approx 5% of the capacity. No where near enough for any team, let alone Liverpool and especially in Europe's premier show piece cup competition.
If / when we get to Athens, I've heard of a figure of 18,000 tickets allocated. That relates to 25% of the capacity.
Yet again coporate fans win again.
Anyone else feel shortchanged by this ?
