      37'   Paraguay   1 - 0   Argentina

Brilliant so far. Shame Colombia only drew against Uruguai.

Argentina are pretty fu**ed, aren't they?

Looking forward to potentially facing England in the WC?

Not looking good. Getting worse by the game.

      I blame Veron.

They are 5th at the moment with that defeat cause Ecuador won their game against Bolivia. It means they would be going to play-offs against CONCACAF's 4th place if the qualifying was over tonight.

But they still play Peru (home) and Uruguay (away). Peru will probably be an easy win, but Uruguay can be really tough at home, especially if they still have a chance by the time, even though their current squad lack quality in many departments.

I doubt the Argies will finish 6th or worse, but I can see them finishing 5th. It would be funny enough to me, especially if they face Mexico in the play-offs (something that could happen).

Oh.. true, you're right. The last time I checked it was 1-1 and I thought it was the final result. Colombia winning would be worse for Argentina, but on the other hand, this win could mean a very exciting final game in Montevideo, with both Argentina and Uruguay still fighting for qualification.

Sorry for the flood  :-[ but Brazil is playing in a few minutes against Chile. We have a lot of players out for suspension and Robinho is injured, so Dunga added 3 names currently playing in our league to the squad: Diego Souza, Cleiton Xavier (both from Palmeiras) and André Dias (São Paulo).

      The lineup:

Julio Cesar, Maicon, Luisão, Miranda, André Santos; Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo, Daniel Alves, Julio Baptista; Nilmar, Adriano.

Ireland beat Cyprus 2-1 with Robbie Keane getting his 40th International goal in 92 matches. Thats quite impressive IMO.

Italy beat Bulgaria 2-0. Looks like Ireland pretty much have second place wrapped up.

      Brazil won it. 4-2.

Julio Baptista scored one and Nilmar got a hat-trick. Daniel Alves was really good on midfield, mainly in the 1st half. Shame Felipe Melo was sent off though.

Chile have a decent team but they have been such an easy opponent to us. We always score a lot of goals against them.
