      Power supply fan

It's pissing me off, it keeps buzzing, sounds like it's hitting something.

It's not just every now and then either, it's constant, and it's F***ing annoying.

I've tried taking the tower apart to see if I can fix it, but there's too many wires attatched to it, and I'm afraid incase I do anything wrong.

      Little help?

Get one of those squirty air cannisters and give it a good blow.

Happened again this morning, and it's definitely not dust.

The solution? Pummel the tower excessively until your knuckles bleed ::)

      Nah, just wait it out.

Had the same kind of problem with my last PC. I opened it up, took the fan apart to clean it, bit of WD40 in the right places, then put it all back together.

Eventually had to buy a new one, cost me about £4 on the internet.

Still, the PC was really old so I wasn't worried about breaking it. :-\

Opening a power supply isn't the safest thing. But like ayrton said, they pretty cheap so it's worth it to replace it.
