I'd like to have seen Aquilani start, and Kuyt on the bench, but I don't know Alberto's condition or anything so i'm not too bothered.

Aquilani has to come in if the game is still open in the second half. Lucas needs to be shutting down everything in the midfield with Mascher.  Torres and Gerrard need to partner up today.  I reckon a 3-2 win

How has he deserved it? Going forward he's been good but its at the back he's been lacking. Always second in sprints and always lets the cross in. For me, a player who still needs to improve further in his defence.

Considering they've got Arshavin, Nasri and even Walcott down the wings I don't take chances like this and rather see a more defensively stable player keeping our defence intact.

A bit let down that we got two holders playing in midfield again at home, but hey thats what we got so lets get the fck on with it.

If our forward players can link up well with midfield then I suppose Lucas starting aint terrible. However, if once again we show little creativity from the middle of the park then I hope Rafa brings Aquilani on at around the 60 minute mark. Give him around 30 mins to generate something.
