Makes such a nice change for us to get an easy draw, although no games are easy in a cup game as Redpuppy points out above.

Really want to see the young lads in this game and give them a chance.

Phil Neal will be made up.

You are being optimistic there lad  ;)

Home draws are nice. Would love to get to Wembley again!

I'm always optimistic mate, I like the look of our youngsters and I'm sure we'll win the Carling Cup this year.
IF Utd beat Scunthorpe (I know they struggle against them :)) I want them next round!

Nice an easy for once...at least it better be.  Let all the kids play.

Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal should be fun.

Newcastle upsets Chelsea, hey sh*t happens.

They'll probably still bring more fans than Wigan.

I do not disagree with giving the young lads the opportunity to play in this match. What I am saying is the senior players should not need a rest this early in the season. How did Bill Shankly ever manage to go through a whole season using just 14 players, were the players harder then as the gear they played in was certainly not as flash as the gear used today.

They won't need a rest now, but over-playing them will mean they will get tired in the future.

      Scunthorpe United v Manchester United

Potential 'banana skin' for the Mancs there. Hope they embarrass themselves again.
