Not happy with SOS ? Lets start our own group !

Over the past couple off months people have become more and more disillusioned with the half arsed approach off getting rid off H&G and if my worst fears come through and they get refinanced on October the 20th how much more debt will that mean.

So how about a new group a more hand's on approach more protest's,Orgainised E-mail attacks that have worked a treat so far,Boycott's,and the most important part off the new group IMO is educating the fans that don't have a clue the more fans we have on board the more power we have !

What i would think would be a £5 subscription fee that keeps you in their for life and have a couple off fundraiser's to pay for resources.Like for e.g a billboard with H&G out in America,Huge banners to bring to match's,let your imagination go for a minute pay a private detective to follow his every movement ridiculous ideas but could you imagine the feeling he'd have seeing banners in his hometown?

There just some ideas far-fetched I know.

There should be an alternative.If you were in charge off a group what would you spend the money on ?

Bad idea in my opinion. We need to be united in one group, not separated into splinter groups. If people are that frustrated by the apparent lack of action by SOS then I guess the only solution is to join them and get a vote.

SOS may not be everyones cup of tea, but they have a growing strength and do have the clubs best interests at heart. They can't go about it in a way that pleases everyone, but they are always open to individual supporter opinion. I have given my input a few times and have always recieved constructive replies.

Thats what i thought when i started my other thread on SOS in May but it's just not possible their not hands on and never will be ! I've lost alot off respect for them for their lack off action ! A new group is just what we need even if it just gave SOS a kick up the arse to up their game !

The Yanks would love it if a whole pile of supporters groups sprang up.If you dont like what they are doing tell them.

I think SOS do some terrific work. But other fan organisations would HELP SOS massively.

Its hard for fans outside Merseyside to work at a management level, unless they travel into the city. SOS also has a NECESSARY bureaucratic control system.Which means that it cant always do certain things quickly.

Also, SOS aims to be an activist AND a takeover group. This is hard but they do a magnifient job.  Its tricky for them to be ultra hardcore activist, while at the same time be friendly with corporate entities that we will need for a full fan takeover.

As fans we should use the infrastructures SOS and SLFC have set up - they are excellent. BUT we should have groups that COMPLIMENT and work indeopendently of those 2.

Much great work can be done over the phone, the Net, in Asia, in Ldon etc etc.
One terrific example is the Standards |Corrupted shirt -which could become an icon of our fightback ( once it is fully marketed).

So I say unite in purpose. Liase. But show "self starters" determination in the multitude of tasks we need to do.So yes, we could benefit from a number of new groups working alongside.

We need:-

1)a professional fundraising and merchandising group
2)A professional takeover group - to work with SOS-SLFC
3)A hardcore activist group.
4)An Asia specific group, USA specific group,  etc etc
5)A web/ phone based group for the vast majority of fans who cant get to SOS meetings.
6)A media group.
etc etc

No bureaucracy, just skills, commitment and common purpose.

Not being serious you understand, i think leave it to SOS. They may be a bit 'legislative' but that's unfortunately what's required with a membership of 6000+.

I personally think that SOS would be happy with other groups joined in the Cause.
But I think its important to ultimately stand together with one voice.

By its nature, SOS simply cant do everything, so new groups would be doing them a favour.

By its nature SOS can't do the more 'Militant' things that other Scousers may be willing to do.

From what I gather from various forums, friends, and fans in and around Liverpool, SOS are a joke of an organisation with no real plan other than self-promotion. If there is a place for a large group of likeminded individuals with one goal then it needs to be built from scratch as SOS ain't the answer

I dont agree with that SOS do have the best intentions for the club at heart.

Carheex why don't you set up your own group and see how many people join rather than rubbishing other groups who have the best intentions of the clubs at heart.

It isn't a competition to see who can get the most members - you've got a bit confused I think.
