He has obviously dismissed LFC out of hand. Not even an acknowledgment of our interest in him.
Time to move on methinks.

The best manager in Portugal (given what he has to work with) identified him as a weak link and he's right. He's not even close to good enough defensively but I do rate him as a winger and have done since he was 17, but I'd still rather have Gaitan for that position.

I'm a big Benfica fan and also liked the look of David Luiz obviously but also Miguel Vitor who was on loan at Leicester and Roderick Miranda who is already being hailed "the next Luiz" in Portugal.

hes really been out of the news recently, would still like to see him in a red shirt tho.

I'm not so sure mate, looks like there's some big changes going on at Chelsea and we all know what a big part of the problem is.  Coentrao is young and has a future ahead of him, Cole is coming close to his best before date.

Thats true, and he didnt really have the best of seasons last year, faded away a bit after the first few games (much like chelsea in general really)

How do you know he will be signed as a left back? Malouda isn't getting any younger, he could be their option on the left hand side of midfield.

Mata isn't really a left 'winger'. He provides not much width on a consistent basis. He plays an identical style to that of Silva.

Wide player/Winger whatever. Wingers are overrated anyway. Look at Messi and Ronaldo. Both cut inside and both ended up as strikers.

I'm sure a few pages back he was nailed on to sign for Real

We should put in a cheeky bid for Marcelo  

And, if Madrid land one of Tevez/Aguero, we should look to prise Benzema away from them too!
