The root of the problem - Purslow Out

From over on Rawk by Veinticinco de Diciembre Rawk Staff

Roy Hodgson took a lot of flack at the Wolves game.  As a result NESV have made it clear that they are actively looking to replace Roy Hodgson. I am sure they were doing this anyway but it is good to have it confirmed. We can only hope that they are able to secure the man they want sooner rather than later.

In the meantime lets get behind the team and try and ensure the new man inherits a club that is not in crisis.

If there is the need to vent our anger at someone then I think it is time that we turned our attention to the man who foisted Roy Hodgson on us in the first place.

      Christian Purslow.

This man, and his Championship Manager fantasies are the reason that this team needs a new manager and a complete rebuild.  He managed to set us back further in his short tenure at the top than even G&H when they were in power on the board. Christ he makes Rick Parry look the model CEO.

Quite frankly it disgusts me to see his smug face still attending matches in the circumstances.  I think it is long overdue that we let him know he is not welcome here and should F**k off back to his mansion in the home counties (address publicly available on the net if you are interested ;) )

So bring out your Purslow Cock banners. And lets peacefully but forcefully let the slimy little sh*t know what we think about him.

Time to turn the heat up on Purslow
I can't believe that this snake is still even being allowed to attend matches. Let's remind everybody, this is the guy that

Acted like executioner behind Rafa's back

Took the decision to get rid of Rafa

Took the decision to then appoint Hodgson

While it is clear that his wings have been clipped, if this club is to re-build itself, it is essential that this snake is turfed out. The fact that his smug face is still seen in the Director's box, is disgraceful, while this club continues to struggle with the problems that this guy himself created, when he decided he knew all about football.

It is good that NESV's have reached the decision about Hodgson that they have, but it's wrong that Purslow has been allowed to continue, like he did nothing wrong. If you are going to the match today, don't just think about the manager, also think about the guy who brought him here, who is still allowed to move around Anfield like some legend. About time we got the banners out again I think and some chants going.

      Purslow out.

Gotta change your signature miss, it's old news thankfully  ;)
I think for now it's better if we can stay focused on the main disaster called "Roy", there are things in life which are unimportant, one has to ignore; that's what Purslow means to me.

What are you on about this man is still a director at the club, he is still talking to NESV, doubtless giving his "opinion" on how he thinks this club should progress. More to the point he is a part of the old regime that nearly took the club down the toilet, oh and by the way try reading my post, who took the decision to bring Hodgson to Liverpool in the first place? I rest my case. The man should be turfed out where he can no longer do any damage. Hodgson is going to be dealt with, who will do the same to Purslow?

He's not very good at decision making. He also said that he canceled the deal to get Chamakh so we could get Joe Cole. Chamakh was about to sign then we cancelled and arsenal went in and got him. As long as he has nothing to do with Liverpool football club, I'm happy. we have overcome every problem as Liverpool fans with h and g and there's only one more task to overcome. Getting rid of Roy.

Although misguided with regards to Hodgson he played a massive part in getting rid of Hicks and Gillet we should not forget this. Behind the scenes he has tried ( again no there yet) to regain some LFC traditions lost over the past five years, this was a major selling point to NESV as they saw comparisons with the Sox and wanted to explore this option.

Don't think we should treat him the same way as H&G just yet IMO.

Agree with the sentiment of this, if your heading off to the game today, get behind the team and aim your anger at Cecil, he sacked Rafa whilst on holiday and had the bare faced cheek to call it "Mutual Consent", he meddled in "Transfer dealings" as admitted by Roy, he lumbered us with Roy Hodgson, so vent your spleen at Cecil and let him know get the F**k out of our club.

Rafa summed it up just after he left when he said that there were too many people on the board at Liverpool knew nothing about football. An obvious indirect swipe at Purslow.

Yeah, have to agree. Time he fu**ed off.

Great post Purslow should never be allowed back at the club. As for getting rid of G&H please enlighten me as to what he actually did? The fact of the matter is they were hammered by Bank who got LFC to foot the legal bill. Purslow is only ever in anything for the benefit of himself, don't bring opinion bring facts.

Purslime is scum... end of story.

Hodgson was his poodle and Purslime has done as much damage to this club as Hicks and Gillett.

He should never be allowed within a mile of Anfield.

I won't feel that our club has been cleansed until he and Hodgson have been shown the exit and personally I'd like to see them both kicked out on their arses.

Roy Hodgson I personally believe is a good manager but isn't anywhere near the required level of what is needed to turn this Liverpool team around and that's why he's failing and failing badly. Ultimately you look back to the root of the problem and indeed it is Purslow who appointed Roy and he's made the wrong call just to put the icing AND cherry on top of what has been a complete fart of a job from him. The role he played in getting rid of the two cu*ts was not much. Martin Broughton was the real and only person us lot can thank for cleaning the scum out of the boardroom.

In March 2007, Tom Hicks George Gillett bought Liverpool F.C. the acquisition finance for the deal was provided by RBS and Wells Fargo and was secured against the Club's assets. The Club guaranteed the acquisition debt and provided guarantees in respect of it.
By mid-2009, they had begun to seek ways to refinance or reduce the debt but were unable to do so successfully.
In April 2010 RBS entered into an amendment agreement in respect of the acquisition finance. The amendment involved RBS agreeing to extend the maturity date of the debt to 15 October 2010 In exchange for the owners agreeing to a number of governance restrictions, the most notable of which were that.
      •   Martin Broughton be appointed Independent Chairman of the Club's holding company to lead the sale process;
      •   A majority of the board of directors of the Seller would be Independent of the Previous owners (so that the Previous Owners could not veto any sale which the board of (the Seller approved), and
      • The Previous Owner would not exercise any of (their direct or Indirect rights as ultimate owners of (the Club to change the constitutional. documents or board composition of he Seller, It's immediate parent or the Club or do anything else to frustrate the sale process described above)

So all this was put in place by RBS and the legal team.

An exhaustive sale process ensued, led by Martin Broughton and with financial advice provided by Barclays Capital Numerous potential bidders were contacted and leads were pursued around the globe.

So not much input from Purslow?

Given the looming deadline for repayment 0f the debt facilities, a board meeting was scheduled for Tuesday 5th October 2010 to consider the status of the sale process and evaluate all of the firm proposals received.
25 minute before the scheduled start of the meeting papers were received by the board from solicitor’s acting for G&H purporting to change the articles of the Seller and Its immediate parent and, in reliance on these changed articles, reconstitute the board of the Seller by removing two executive directors and replacing them with two of their of representatives
The legal team examined this and determined that the changes were not valid according to English law.

A whole load of court actions were undertaken, again by the legal teams before a frantic morning with lawyer’s on all sides trying to finalize the completion documents and line up the movements of monies to ensure that the debt owed to RBS and Wells could be paid off on that day without the risk of the Club being placed Into administration and being subject to a deduction of 9pts by the FA Premier League.
At 2:21 pm the Texas court had dissolved the temporary restraining order and ruled that the motion for contempt was moot and had also been withdrawn.
Shortly before 4:00 pm that day the sale to NESV was completed.

Thanks to Slaughter and May, Martin Broughton and RBS.

I wonder if this is his handiwork too!

We all know the c**t was briefing the press against Rafa last season, it appears it's SOS this season.

Anfield hit by a great divide

There will be 7,000 Liverpool fans making the trip to Blackburn Rovers tonight. The club still commands fantastic away support, but increasingly its various factions are walking alone. A further legacy of the era of Rafael Benitez, Tom Hicks and George Gillett is divided loyalty.
One club executive, a Liverpool man through and through, told me this week that his greatest fear is of the civil war once played out in the boardroom shifting its location to the Kop, with outspoken groups increasingly divided on the way forward.
One theory is that the mocking 'Hodgson for England' chants which could be heard during the defeat against Wolves originated in the part of the ground occupied by the Spirit of Shankly pressure group, and the commotion that followed was in part dissenting voices offering support for the manager. This may be wishful thinking as Hodgson is running out of allies fast.
It would be logical, however, that even on a night of great disappointment, Anfield would not be unanimous in its views. Support for Benitez was far from universal, no matter how history is being rewritten.
The legacy of that tumultuous time is a fan base that has been encouraged to think the hated previous owners were removed by a grass roots uprising, not the hard-nosed practicality of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
This makes for a lot of noise, but not all of it helpful and certainly not of one voice.

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1344133/David-Beckham-run-English-football-FA.html#ixzz1A7GSKqWM

Yesterday Winter and Maddock are both touting Ian Ayre for the Chief exec job, and now another insider has gone to that fat c**t Samuel blaming SOS for the chants.

      Purslow needs shooting.

Although it's good to see the Hodgson for England chant has really upset the Sunday supplement "guys."

The irony of it all is that the chant is partly aimed at them - for conducting the campaign that was the degradation of Benitez, while championing the cause of Hodgson in getting the job; and continuing it by asking zero questions of his competence in overseeing our worst season since 1954.

For those wanting to be proactive in removing Hodgson, HFE is still the chant that hits home on so many levels.

Tony Barrett's doing was asked a question during his Times webchat about the negative effect Cecil might have had on #LFC

"If Purslow is going to take his share of the credit for the role he played in removing Hicks and Gillett then he must also take his share of the blame for the state that Liverpool got themselves in on the pitch last summer.

"Roy Hodgson was Purslow's appointment. Joe Cole was pursued by Purslow from early in the year even though Benitez didn't want him. Purslow inserted clauses in the contracts of Reina and Torres which will allow both to leave this summer if certain conditions are met.

"Purslow told Reina he could choose his own goalkeeper coach following the departure of Xavi Valero only for Reina to then have 68-year-old Mike Felly foisted upon him.

      "You get the picture."

Lets get this c**t out of our club, see the damage this slimy c**t done.

the only divide was whether Hodgson should have gone sooner rather than later that no longer exists and we are 100% behind the team the manager and the Owners. We are at last moving forward again.
